It was one week later and Sakusa was running out of time. Sakusa and Kirika's 'relationship' was attracting less attention since it had become 'the norm' for the students of Itachiyama Academy. Sakusa was honestly starting to panic. He didn't want it to be over and despite the multiple signs that Kirika did in fact like him back, he still couldn't help but doubt it. He didn't know when he had become so insecure but he recently found that he enjoyed spending the majority of his time with someone other than his cousin.

Sakusa was tense knowing that he had to admit his feelings soon, if he didn't he would lose his chance forever and things would go back to the way they were before, with him stealing glances, and her being blissfully unaware of his longing gaze.

He heaved a heavy sigh as the bell for lunchtime chimed, standing from his seat and haphazardly shoving it back under the desk.

'Fuck it.' He decided.

He was going to do it. And he was going to do it now whilst this sudden burst of courage remained.

Sakusa waited for Kirika to make her way over to him on the other side of the classroom like she usually did at lunchtime and gently pulled her out of the classroom and to a secluded part of the courtyard where nobody really went. Not the nicest place to confess your feelings but he could work with it.

Though impromptu plans don't usually work. Kirika spoke up before he did, most likely out of fear and the thought that he was bringing her all the way down here to start planning their fake breakup.

"𝗶 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼𝘄" she spoke, suddenly finding the gravel very interesting as she rolled a pebble around with her shoe.

'shit that wasn't supposed to happen.'

"𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴?" he blurted.

After searching her eyes for any type of negative emotion and finding none, he immediately pulled down his mask and leant down to press his lips to her own, panicking just a little when she let out a surprised squeak, though he found his chest tightening in the most euphoric way when she melted into him, kissing back as she wrapped her arms around his neck to pull him closer. his heart was pounding so wildly he could feel it in every inch of his body.

It was safe to say their little white lie bloomed into something beautiful.
