06 | 𝔇𝔢𝔢𝔭 𝔦𝔫 𝔶𝔬𝔲𝔯 𝔴𝔬𝔯𝔩𝔡 - OCTOBER 2ND, 1989
In Lucas' eyes, life had a funny way of fucking him up.
One minute it blessed him into a rich family full of joy and love, revealing to him the kindest of things, teaching him to be grateful of what he has and of the things he's earned. He became comfortable and accustomed to the 'norm' of living peacefully with what he was given. As time progressed, life took a turn for the worst.
Sadly, it became strenuous 一 it became Lucas' nemesis.
The curse of his parent's lifestyle left a spotlight on every aspect of his existence. Inside and out, the good and the bad, the ugly and the worst 一 the fame and the fortune ran through the family's blood for years. It became and was his 'norm' 一 the flashing lights, the paparazzi, the glam and the glitter, pampering, award shows, interviews and etc. was the highlight of his life.
He witnessed the struggles of trying to play the part of a 'perfect' family in front of the cameras. His father 一 Angel York, was considered to be one of the most top five handsomest bachelors in Hollywood and was also known to be one of the luckiest man to have a stay-at-home wife and actress willing to go the extra mile for himー Georgia York, who birthed two beautiful children Lucas and Emma York.
Behind closed doors they weren't as 'perfect' as many perceived them to be.
Tabloids of his father's infidelity had leaked right around the time his mother was pregnant, along with the devastating news of her illness that had been ongoing for almost 3 years.
The amount of stress she was holding within from Angel's immature behavior and the news failing to tell her anything new, her pregnancy went well without any complications.
The never-ending arguments turned into fights, fights that left him traumatized and triggered. Hearing the confirmation about Angel's cheating allegations, lead their family to be in shambles. Lucas observed how the relationship between his parents became broken each and every day.
The sound of glass breaking, loud yelling, and physical altercations could be heard almost every day from upstairs. It left him to fear for his mother's wellbeing, oftentimes having to come between them only to earn a few scars and bruises of his own.
Promptly, the day his father expressed everything was just too much for him to handle was the day Lucas realized he had to be the man of the house.
His father couldn't take it anymore.
So he decided to evolve himself around work, parties and women. Everyday was the same day and with Georgia left behind to take care of the kids, the house and her wellbeing, she only had so little strength retained.
