16. Delivering

"Sora" Mitsuko called

"Yes, Mitsuko-Sama?" Sora reply

"Please give this to Sanemi" Mitsuko smiled and handed her a small lunch box with what seems to be a letter tie to the box. Sora stared at the lunch box confused but didn't asked and immediately went out to do what Mitsuko ordered. 

Sanemi stared cautiously at the lunch box that Sora held. Seeing the look, Sora shove it into Sanemi's hand.

"I don't know what it is, Mitsuko-Sama didn't tell me but she said to give this to you" She said

"You better not put poison in here you fucking demon" Sanemi glared 

"YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT! HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE MITSUKO-SAMA OF SUCH THINGS!" Sora furiously shouted 

"Whatever, it doesn't matter. You must accept it, it's not everyday that Mitsuko-Sama would give something to people she had just met ya know?" Sora huffed and turned around, she transformed and quickly fly away not wanting to be near Sanemi any longer. 

Sanemi scowled but was hit with a sudden realization "DID THE FUCKING DEMON JUST SURVIVED UNDER THE SUN?!" 

"How did it go?" Mitsuko asked as Sora sat down across her

"he's very disrespectful to you Mitsuko-sama! i don't know why you would give him something" Sora frowned 

"I don't know if you remember but this is not the first time we met him" Mitsuko smiled 

"what do you mean Mitsuko-sama?" Sora asked in confusion 

Mitsuko didn't reply and only smiled at her. It took Sora a few seconds before she finally knew what Mitsuko was talking about. 

"Are you lost?" Mitsuko asked as she stared at the child who was holding mountains of weapons.

"Come out if you dare Demon!" The boy bravely shouted at Mitsuko who was hiding in the shadows of the tree. 

Mitsuko stared amused, this boy had quite the potential to be strong since he manage to survive from demons with all those trash weapons. The boy gaze did not waver, his stance firm and ready to hold his ground if needs to be. 

Mitsuko masked her presence to make it seem as if she left. The boy stayed like that for a few minutes before finally slouching against a tree "The demon left?" he mumbled confused

Mitsuko spent the next days following him from the shadows, a demon that was near the level or is a lower moon, she would took care of it before the boy notice its presence but other than that she lets him kill others in his own way. 

"Why are we following him Mitsuko-sama?" Sora asked in curiosity, Mitsuko stayed silent as she also doesn't know why she had the urge to follow and protect him.

Mitsuko saw the boy had met someone, his name was Kumeno Masachika. and the boy she had been following was Shinazugawa Sanemi. 

Masachika sense a presence, he looks behind Sanemi to see a white haired demon woman. his eyes widened for a bit but does not panic as he sense that she does not have any malicious intent. It was obvious to him that the demon had purposely revealed herself. Her gaze changed to Sanemi and he immediately understood what she had meant. 

The demon wanted him to protect Sanemi. 

He was a bit baffled by it but nod and he receives a satisfied look from the demon as she then disappeared.

"What are you nodding at?" Sanemi stared at him weirdly and looks behind him to find nothing

"It's um- nothing. don't worry about it" Masachika reply
