04. Kibutsuji Muzan

She came to a stop, feeling a demonic aura in the forest. Could it be another demon like her? Or could it be that this place has demons too? 

"Stay here Sora" Mitsuko said firmly, Sora not understanding whats happening just nod.

Mitsuko walked closer to the source of aura, she was met with a blood red eyes. He was wearing what she assumed this worlds clothing. The man stared at her before attacking her at a blinding speed. She managed to stop his claws from stabbing her shoulder, this shocked the man.

"What are you doing?" Mitsuko monotonously asked 

The man jump back and glared at her "who are you?"

"Introduce yourself first before asking for someones name"

The man glared at her with such intensity but then smirk "Kibutsuji Muzan, i am the demon lord"

Mitsuko scoffed "you are no demon lord, to answer your question. I am Mitsuko"

Muzan growled and move to attack her, to which she cut his hand off with her sword, Taiyou no tsurugi. She stared at Muzan in amusement as his hand regenerate back. Muzan felt a slight burn from the wound but shrugged it off.

"You think a mere attack like that could kill me? The eldest child of the Daiyōkai?" 

Muzan narrowed his eyes at the word 'Daiyōkai' 

"You don't know who you're messing with Kibutsuji Muzan, leave" Mitsuko warned

Not wanting to damage his pride as the demon lord, he kept attacking. Mitsuko was unfazed nor amused by the slightest at his attempt of killing her. She cut his hands off but it keeps regenerating, she slice his body in two but it was also proven to be futile. This kept going until it was almost sunrise. Muzan noticing this, retreated. 

'His leaving because of the sunlight?' Mitsuko thought as she stared at Muzan's silhouette 'I see, so his weakness is the sun'

Returning back, she was met with a crying Sora "oh thank goodness Mitsuko-sama! I was getting worried" Mitsuko patted her head trying to calm her down.

"Now let us continue our journey" Mitsuko said as Sora sniffed and nodded.

Meanwhile, Muzan was at his hideout feeling deep hatred for Mitsuko. She was powerful enough to keep up with Muzan until sunrise, her power exceed any other Hashira he has ever seen. Save to say she might as well be in par with Yoriichi Tsugikuni. 

"Mitsuko-sama, while you were gone, I found a group of demon slayers. It seems they dedicated themselves to slay demons. Does this mean this place also has demons?" Sora asked

"Yes, I just happened to have a fight between their demon lord" Mitsuko replied 

"Really?! Was the demon lord strong?" 

"He was but not as strong as I thought he would be, but it seemed like the sun is his weakness because he retreated just right before sunrise" Mitsuko informed

"As expected of Mitsuko-sama" Sora proudly smile "oh yes! I forgot to tell you Mitsuko-sama, apparently the demon slayers is lead by this Ubuyashiki person. I heard not many people see him that often" 

Mitsuko pondered for a moment "Sora, I want you to spy on the demon slayers. Find put everything you can about them and the demons" 

Sora nodded and transform to her crow form, flying away to do what Mitsuko had command her.
