The girl hides behind Gyomei feeling shy. He had told her to behave because they are meeting the masters of the estate and organization. The woman in front of Kanae was so ethereal she might as well be an angel.
"What is your name child" The woman asked as she smiled softly
"K-kocho Kanae, you can call me Kanae" She smiled nervously
"We've heard what happened. We're sorry for your lost" Kagaya said to Kanae. His voice is soothing just like the woman beside him.
"Thank you" Kanae said and bowed slightly.
"My name is Kagaya Ubuyashiki, you may call me however you wish but others usually call me Oyakata-Sama. Beside me is my mentor, Mitsuko-Sama" Kagaya introduced himself and Mitsuko. Mitsuko sense that Kanae has the potential to be a Hashira, her aura feels pure. She was kind.
"Can I tell you something Kanae?" Mitsuko asked
"Of course Mitsuko-Sama" Kanae nodded
"I am a demon. Tell me, do you resent me now?"
Kanae was taken back by this, one of the master of the demon slayer organization is a demon?
"No of course not Mitsuko-Sama, I think your existence is the living prove that demons can live together with humans" Kanae said and indeed she was telling the truth. She pity demons, especially those who were forced to be a demon.
Mitsuko smiled at Kanae words "I can't really tell you about my origins, it is quite hard to tell. But, I am not a demon made by Kibutsuji Muzan. So the demons who are controlled by Kibutsuji might be hard to keep their humanity or even remember it at all. But I believe there will be some rare cases where demons don't feel the need to eat humans"
"I will wait for that day to come then Mitsuko-Sama" Kanae beamed at her.
"Kanae, would you like to learn flower breathing? This is a breathing made by me. I think it would suit you the most" Mitsuko offered
Kanae eyes shines brightly "you're going to teach me Mitsuko-Sama?" Mitsuko chuckle at her enthusiasts before nodding.
"Then I will be in your care" Kanae bowed
"Would you like me to teach her the basics first Mitsuko-Sama? I've heard you'll be busy this week" Gyomei said
"If Kanae doesn't mind that is" Mitsuko replied, staring at Kanae
"Of course! I don't mind at all! Oh! Would it be okay to ask you to teach my sister too? I'm sorry if this is a lot to ask. I don't really want her to fight but knowing her, she'll most likely just ignore my words" Kanae sighed
"Of course, but you can't tell her that I'm a demon. All will be revealed when the time comes" Mitsuko smiled as she agrees to Kanae's request.
"Thank you Mitsuko-Sama"
Kagaya stayed silent throughout the whole conversation, they way Mitsuko was able to sense the potential in everyone always manage to amaze him. He smiled knowing the bond between Mitsuko and Kanae is gonna be more of a siblings bond then a mentor and a student.
