Visinia City, Unknown Location
February 15, 01h15Slosh, tear, gulp. Sounds of horror filled up a small room. Infinitesimal; the space between a pair and the source of such heart wrenching events. From the darkness, a burp reverberated through a despair filled ambience. The noises which seemed to be endless halted for the better. Soon, a torch shined a light across the room; whimpers, cries, sorrow. They belonged only to one. Janice. She was in pain.
"Please... Leave me be. I'm too dangerous to be around you..." Her whimpers suddenly resonated. Is she back to her senses? Araele was uncertain. "Janice..." She softly intoned into the scene. Blood bathed and red soaked, Janice's dress was ruined. To her fore, only a skull and a few of a man's bones remained. Blood splattered across the corner. Araele could not stomach such a scene, leading to a release of the little food she had left in her. Amari sat, daunted. "I don't know when I will be locked animation again. What I've done here is unforgivable." Janice said, her dark eyes darting towards Araele's pink own.
Araele was too weak to stand after regurgitating. Alas, she was now standing, though slightly limping. "If you don't kill me now, I might kill you later..." Janice said in a low, sombre tone. "I'm not killing you," Araele replied. Even though she hadn't trusted her before, she did now. They weren't exactly on the same page from the get go, but their bond seemed to have transcended during their time in the cage room. "Perhaps your body has consumed enough to make you last for a while. Come with me and the group might find us a cure." Janice ceased to cry. Crying was not going to solve her situation, nor was it going to bring back the dead.
Suddenly, Amari was determined. Hesitant no longer, the man pulled out his gun and fired a bullet through Janice's skull!
"What are you doing!?"
Araele burst out in tears, kicking away the gun from his shivering hands. A swift swipe of her palm would send the man crashing into a nearby wall; the wall they were so attached to not so long ago. "You heard the zombie, we can't allow her to roam free after this!" Amari defended. "Who the fuck is WE?!" Araele hurried towards Janice in panic. Upon coming into close proximity with her newest friend, surprise laced her visage; unbelieving of what she saw. She remarked a clean dent on her temple, the bullet hadn't passed through at all. "What?" Both said in unison. They were stunned by the discovery. Even Janice herself was caught in this confusion. "Why aren't you dead?" Amari inquired in disbelief.
Janice made a quick assessment of her predicament. "Remember what I told you about my enhanced physiology? Well this might be one of the pros of being a Semi-Zombie." Perhaps turning into half a zombie had its good ends. Her skull was seemingly rock hard, much more solid than a wall of steel. As all things must be balanced, being a partially turned zombie also required a drawback. Sudden loss of humanity once hunger takes her over was the one and only drawback they knew of. "That hurt, you fucking bastard." Janice sighed, standing from her position. She now helped Araele stand on her feet, given her weakened state. "But not that it matters. Where are we exactly?" Amari stood from his knees. Gun back onto its strap, alongside his torch. "You are about to be mind blown. For real this time."
Visinia City Outskirts, Meadows
February 14, 22h00Skyler and co were out cold. He was slouching into a single couch, whereas Theodore and Edward made the double couch their own. Kieran and Wyvern slept on an identical couch, whilst Mac was wide awake, chemistry eating the night away.
"Test one of an unknown many. Ekanoni Meadows, twenty two hundred hours, February fourteen. This solution might bring about change to the way the world is currently revolving. It is my responsibility to see to it that I discover what components it is made of." Mac had a camera recording his first experiment. Given that the rest of them were fast asleep, it was a necessity to keep them up to speed even in their unconscious states. Without further ado, he began. Minutes passed, hours collapsed and process was slightly evident.
