Chapter 6: Bedtime Story And A Promise

It was a rather quiet night for the Noceda household. Because tonight Luz and Anne are having another sleepover like their first one almost a year and a half ago, but this time with Molly joining them for her first sleepover ever. Both McGee parents, Oum, and Camila trusted the two older girls enough to take care of Molly on their own, although Camila would of course still be there for any emergencies.

"Luz, you're messing up my hair!" Molly groaned at Luz who was playing with her hair

"Sorry Molls. I can't help it, your hair is so fun to play with" Luz fiddled with Molly's little ponytail while Anne watched closely "Yeah. Your hair is just so unique, especially with that little ponytail of yours"

"But what about you Anne? Your hair is also unique but Luz doesn't play with it!"

"I played with Anne's hair before. I just don't play with it as much as yours"

"Why is that?"

"Because, Anne's hair might be fluffy, but it's missing something that can only be found in yours"

"What is it?"

"An adorable little face of an adorable little cutie-pie" Luz softly pinched Molly's cheek much to her annoyance "Stop, I'm not an adorable little cutie-pie!"

Anne started pinching her other cheek "Oh yes you are~"

Molly just sat there unamused as her two older friends played with her cheek. After a while Anne held Molly and sat the youngest girl down on her lap.

"I kinda miss when you were just babbling and giggling all the time"

"Anne it wasn't that long ago when she started talking"

"Still miss it"

As it gets late into the night, the three girls are all cuddled up together, ready to go to bed. That's when something clicked in Molly's head.

"Anne?" Molly who was between Luz and Anne tugged the older Thai girl's hand

"Yes Molly?"

"Can you tell me a bedtime story?" she begged with the big puppy dog eyes, earning a gentle brush on her hair

"Sure, what story would you like to hear?"

"I don't know, honestly I'm up for anything!"

"How about 'The Little Fluffy Bunny'?" Luz suggested

"Ooh that's a good one! Do you want to hear it Molly?"

Molly let out a short gasp and practically almost jumping on top of Anne "Tell me that one, please!"

"Alright alright I will, calm down you little hyper ball"

Anne cleared her throat before she began to narrate.

"Once upon a time, there lived a fluffy little bunny and her two big sisters. They live peacefully together under a small tree in the big forest. The three bunnies love and care for one another, if they were in trouble and needed some help then they would always have each other's backs..."

Anne told the story for what felt like hours and hours, but the other two didn't mind and listened to their friend from beginning to end.

"...One day, a big hungry fox appeared and found the bunnies in their home"

"Oh, no!"

"The bunnies barely managed to escape and they tried to hide from the fox. But the fox had a good nose and it can smell them wherever they hide"
