Chapter 5: Random Shorties

This chapter features a collection of random short moments that I couldn't work into a full chapter, so instead I put them all here in one. They don't really connect to one another, they're just kind of random.

A Nicer Sign of Friendship

Luz and Anne stare at each other eye to eye, occasionally tilting their heads every once and a while. This goes on for a minute before they lovingly lock their foreheads and then hugged one another.

Bird Encounter

Anne, Luz, and Molly sat together on a fallen log at the park. A small bird landed right besides Molly and she then tugged Luz's shirt, catching her attention.

"Wuz, birbie" Molly pointed at the bird which Luz recognize to be a blue jay "That's a pretty bird isn't it Molly?"

Anne nodded towards the bird "Why don't you say hi to it?"

Molly tries to pet the bird, but it flew away far into the sky right before she could.

Somethings on Your Arm

While playing together with Molly, Luz noticed something on Anne right arm. A scar...

Luz points at the arm "Anne, what is that on your arm?" Molly also looked at the arm, despite not understanding what was wrong

Anne explained that the scar came from a nasty fight with one of her classmates who bullied her. Molly sadly hugged her, as she could tell that something bad happened to her friend. While Luz swore to find the kid who did this and give them a piece of her mind.

"Luz Luz calm down! She already got her punishment from the teacher and I did manage to hit her once or twice while defending myself"

Anne's words seems to put Luz at ease, but deep down she still felt angry at what happened to Anne.

A Pool For Three

An inflatable pool was filled up in Anne's backyard. It was a pretty hot day so Anne and Luz said they wanted to cool off by swimming. They also wanted to show Molly a little bit how to swim, which the parents agreed as long as they had floaties on.

Molly however gets a little bit too energetic and ends up splashing water everywhere.

"Molly, could you please calm down a little bit?"

"Yeah, you're gonna get the whole place splashed with water"

Molly didn't listen and instead splashes water over to Anne and Luz. The two girls looked slightly annoyed as their faces and hair were soaked, while Molly laughed at her two best friends. But they just smile and chuckle in response.

"Oh Molly, you little knucklehead"

"Just wait till you get older and we'll show you!"

Can We Keep It?

The mothers of the trio were just sitting and talking to one another at Camila's place, and suddenly...

"Mom?" Luz called out

The three moms turned to see Luz, Anne, and Molly, who just learned how to walk on her own. But what caught their attention was the thing on Luz's hold, it was small fat raccoon holding a piece of bone in its mouth.

"Where did you three get that?!" All three responded at the same time, all comically shocked

"We found him rummaging through our garbage bins outside" Luz happily answered while the raccoon looked confused at what was happening

"Can we keep him?" Anne asked innocently as Molly went over to pet the little vermin "Fluffy doggy"

Before any of the ladies could respond, Mr Boonchuy and Pete appeared wearing an armor made out off pans and other utensils.

"Absolutely not!"

"That vermin is nothing but a gremlin in disguise, it may look cute but looks are deceiving!"

"Take it from guys who fought them plenty of times"

Everyone else just look at them incredulously and Camila realized...

"Are those my broken pans and utensils?"

Four Adorable Moments

These include:

The three girls cuddling together with Molly sleeping between Luz and Anne

Luz lifting Molly high in her arms

Anne gently running her fingers through Molly's hair

And the two girls giving their youngest friend a kiss on her cheek.

Yeah like I said these are pretty short and random, part of the reason I can't dedicate a whole chapter into them. But still, I hope you guys enjoy it!
