Kinn was thinking about whether or not Pete had arrived at his hometown by now. The bodyguard said he was going to take a boat but Kinn insisted he took the plane. Pete looked ecstatic when Kinn handed him the first-class tickets. His eyes were shining even though he remained calm as he usually did. That was when Kinn noticed how cute Pete was.

Pete was well-manered, poised, tough, and Kinn could say Pete was handsome with well-sculpted muscles. Of course, he had to be at least lean and/or muscular for his duties as a bodyguard but obviously, he was too manly to be his type.

Kinn typically liked the cute ones. The ones you wouldn't see at a scene like the mafia fights but then, about two months ago, something happened that has bugged Kinn's brain since.

--FLASHBACK TO TWO MONTHS AGO

"Khunn Kinn, let's take cover!" Pete said as he ran to find a spot in a dark alley that midnight at a deserted place in Bangkok, trying to hide away from the gang running after them. The other bodyguards got separated from Kinn because of the chaos and only Pete, his older brother's head bodyguard, managed to stay close to him, watching his front and back to keep him from being harmed.

They kept running to the small space that Pete had pointed at earlier but before they could reach the spot, Pete had already been alarmed of two men who was behind Kinn's back.

"Khun Kinn, duck!" Kinn and Pete automatically make themselves sit on the ground. They were sitting face to face on the ground. Kinn watched Pete's back for enemies while Pete watched his.

Kinn saw no one behind Pete but Pete definitely saw someone behind Kinn as he pulls the other's head to his chest. He was trying to cover his boss' head with his hand and shooting away whoever they were who was targeting him.

Kinn raised his head that was pulled to Pete's chest. His head was pulled down low so he had to look up to catch a glimpse of Pete's face. He'd have to read Pete's face to determine just how much danger they were in but then he saw something else.

As Pete's small but expressive eyes narrowed in concentration, his chestnut-shaped lips slightly parted as he focused, for a moment Kinn saw that Pete was actually kind of beautiful in a way he could appreciate. Surely, they were in a bind and could die anytime now as they were obviously outnumbered and their ammos were running out but why?

Why does Pete look like he's having fun?

Kinn couldn't help but be curious as he was seeing Pete in a different light this time. Pete actually looked excited to fight. The passion in his eyes were undeniable, eating up a huge chunk in his appearance that should have been covered by fear right now.

Freaky, Kinn thought but he couldn't help but be curious.

"We need to hurry" Pete takes Kinn out of his daze as he pulled him up.

They ran towards a small building and Pete tries to grab his phone

"Uh-uh, not so fast little guardian angel!" A man with a Mexican or Spanish accent spoke in English.

Pete kept his cool and tried to dial wildly.

"I said put it down or your boss' head explodes right here!" Two men come near them and Kinn saw one of them hit Pete's head with a gun before Kinn eventually ended up with the same fate and they both pass out.

The next thing Kinn knew, him and Pete were already tied to poles and are standing away from each other, end to end in that abandoned building.

Pete's hands were tied behind his back and his feet were tied too as well as Kinn's but Kinn had it worst. His neck was also tied up in a rope. The Mexican gang must have really held a grudge against him for choosing another supplier. It was all for business' sake. The Italians offered a better deal and for a lower price.
