Rowan Henderson could feel the gaze coming from Eddie as she sat with her eyes closed. It had been silent since the others left. The only noises that could be heard were the bugs outside, the slight creaking of the floor whenever Eddie would move, and the sigh's leaving both of the teens.

Rowan didn't mind keeping Eddie company, she was just upset. She was hurting. She already felt as if everyone blamed her for Ellis dying, and the conversation with Dustin did not put the thought to rest. Rowan was growing tired of the feeling of Eddie's eyes on her.

She snapped open her eyes, seeing Eddie close his fastly as she caught him staring. "I caught you, dumbass." Eddie opened his eyes, "Yeah. Oops." She looked at him, noticing how he was fiddling with his rings. He looked exhausted, and not just physically. She could tell he was scared, the emotion radiating off his body. His eyes were sunken in, the spark she saw yesterday was now gone, replaced with a look of loss and uneasiness.

"May I know why you are staring at me?" He shrugged while he sighed, "I mean, there isn't much we can do." He stood from his spot and he began gesturing towards the fishing poles on the wall wildly, "We can go fishin'" He said as he now spoke in a thick southern accent, "Catch us a couple catfish. Whatcha say to that, darlin'?"

She assumed humor was his way of coping, trying to trick himself and others into thinking everything was okay. "I don't reckon there's any fish bait here, do you?" She was also speaking in a thick southern accent as well, which made Eddie smile down at her.

"Oh, shucks. I think you're right. Guess I'll have to use my hands and wiggle my finger like a worm." He began to wiggle his finger at Rowan, "Who needs fishin' poles when you can just use your hands. Like a real southern man." Rowan spoke with a slight chuckle as she grabbed his hands in mock awe.

Eddie joined her near her spot on the floor, sitting with his back to the door, facing Rowan instead. "You didn't have to stay, you know? I know you don't want to be keeping the freak company."

Rowan scoffed, "Oh, shut up. You're not a freak. And Dustin's right, you shouldn't be alone."

Eddie's eyes snapped to meet hers, "Well, thank you." Rowan nodded, "It's my honor." She shot him a playful smile.

She gasped as an idea popped into her head. The sound scared Eddie as he stood up quickly, "What? What is it, Rowan?"

She grabbed his wrist as she pulled him back down to her level. "Wanna get high?" Eddie gave her a huge smile, "Is Dustin a little shithead?" He replied as he nodded quickly.

She reached into her bag, pulling out her leftover weed from yesterday and her cocaine. She held up the two bags in front of him, "Your pick." He made a fake thinking face, bringing his hand to stroke his chin.

"Mmm. I say, why not both?" Rowan smiled brightly, "You're a genius, Munson." She handed him her paper and the weed, "Here. Roll." He only nodded as he stood to move to the table. She grabbed a small hardcover book out of her bag, something she always kept on her for times like this. As she made four decent-sized lines with her old library card, she glanced up at Eddie.

She watched him as he stuck out his tongue to lick the paper, finishing rolling that blunt as he started rolling another. His ring-clad fingers placed the weed onto the paper, Eddie still unaware that he was being watched by her. She couldn't deny that he was attractive and seeing him roll so effortlessly made him more attractive to Rowan.

She pinched her leg at the thoughts she was having because of him, she didn't want to find him attractive. She didn't have a reason why she didn't want to find him attractive, she just thought the timing would be worrying. She didn't know him, she was only here because of her brother. But, that did not mean she wouldn't steal glances at him.
