a kid is trapped in a alternate reality than his and finds out all the kids are babied here, has to learn to fit in and how to make it back, if he chooses to go back.
on the ride to the lab i was talking with my friend and he asked me whats wrong? at first i said nothing and he keep asking so i said not much just mom was mad today and she spanked me a couple of times. we keep talking about things when we arrive at the lab and WOW it looked so cool , i said dude you dad works here! my friend just laughs and says ya its nothing crazy but it looks so cool.

we get out of the car and walk in with his dad and the inside looks just like i thought a cool science place would and im looking around at all the cool stuff

we keep walking down hallways and seeing so much cool stuff like one room had robots, one was doing stuff with VR stuff, one room had like 10 3d printers making stuff, and we get to this big door with a screen on the side and a black box and my friends dad took a card slid it in the back card reader than put his hand on the big screen and the door said " welcome professor " we walk in and see all kinds of stuff that he had be working on

i can see that jules is loving all this and i explain stuff i been working on and yes it is way more advance than their brains can handle at that age but he was still hooked, where as mason just sat at one of the decks on the spinny chairs. i say come with me and we walk to a door in the back of the lab i slide my card, than scan my eye and the door opens and we walk in the room and i say " there it is the portal device we call it " the Twilight Ring " i start to explain it and Jules says oh is it like the back to the future movies, i laugh and say not exactly we dont use the stuff they do but we can open a portal to a time, a place in the time line or on the world, we were even able to open a portal to a different dimension but we deemed it to dangerous. but to show you how it works i will open a portal to some where in our world. i type in stuff than turn the machine on and it opens up a portal and the boys see in the portal a view of the Eiffel tower in France. they were amazed than the portal flickered
jules asked me "can you see anywhere in the world?" well jules yes you can but we are working on something even more impressive we working on seeing other dimensions, both of them kinda look at me like what? i explain about dimensions and how they can be totally different, or a little different and that there can be thousands, even million of them. i say let me show u i turn the portal off and i start typing into the computer and turning stuff and the portal makes noises and starts forming a new image and the kids say it looks the same as here, i says yes it does but this is dimension number 342737, all of sudden the image flickers and i go back and try and fix it almost got it , there now it should be stable again i answer more of their questions and than i hear an alarm and sparks than all sudden you hear " warning warning containment breach" i tell the boys to get back and i work on trying to fix it, and i the portal starts to destabilize i run to the kids to keep them protected from the gust of win generated by the containment breach but im to late and jules is sucked into the portal as it closes and the machine crashes and sparks my firsrt though is mason are you ok? he nods and says " yes dad im just scared n worried bout jules is he going to be ok?" i say yes he will and im going to work on getting him back. as i look at the machine and the computer trying to see what went wrong thinking why did this happen and worried and guilty i was not fast enough.
