I slowly opened my eyes to see a white wall. I looked at my arm seeing I was hooked up to a IV. Where was I? This wasn't the room I've been trapped in.
"Moonlight?" I looked to my side to see Selena and Moon sobbing. I have them a weak smile and they both carefully hugged me. I was so happy. In 3 years I felt true happiness.
"I'm so sorry I let you get hurt." Selena sobbed into my shoulder. I felt sad, I made them blame their selfs for my stupid decisions.
"No it's my fault I've should've protected myself better." Selena and Moon instantly stood up and told me it's not my fault it was Nathan's. I started crying happy tears. I got my wish. I was finally with my family. Then I remember how I was saved.
"Who the fuck is he? Why did he have a gun? Why didn't he even bat an eye to kill him?" I started asking questions about Liam. Selena and Moon looked nervous.
"He's the Jefe of the Mexican Cartel." Selena nervously said. I can't believe it.
"We gotta get out of here!" I yelled not wanting to go through anymore pain.
"Moonlight if he wanted to hurt us would've been by now." Moon tried to calm me down. How could she be so calm!?!?
"Moonlight you were one of his main priorities these last couple of years. Selena said stroking my hair.
"Him and Eric were the only ones who were there for me when I learned you were kidnapped." I was petrified what if he was just like Nathan and not just hurt just me but all of my family.
"Just go to bed and get some sleep." Selena said and not soon after I fell asleep.
... 5 years earlier
"Moonlight this is my fiancée and his friend Liam." Selena introduced me.
"Nice to meet you." I greeted them. I was always loved meeting new people. I stretched my arm out to their friend. When he took hold of it I felt little sparks but I didn't pay no mind to it. We went to the dining room to eat. We all sat and have a conversation. I looked over to their friend to see him typing away on his phone.
"Liam what do you do for work?" I asked him trying to pull him into the conversation. Selena had a nervous look on her face.
"I own a couple businesses." He said putting his phone down looking at me. I stared into his honey eyes. I was entranced by him. He had the darkest black hair and tattoos covered his body.
"That's cool." I said snapping out of it coughing. I heard him chuckle and I covered my face with my hair. My face was flushed. He was so alluring and instantly captured my intention.
"Moonlight I got to go talk to Father me and Eric will be right back." Selena said and I shook my head. She was leaving me alone with him. He leaned back into his chair staring at me with a devilish smirk on his face. I tried to avoid eye contact.
"You're Precioso." He said something in Spanish. I gave him a confused look. He gave me another one of his savory laughs.
"You're gorgeous." My face was probably redder than a tomato.
"T-thank you." I stuttered knowing he knows the affect he has on me. I took a drink.
"What do you do Precioso?" He asked me the same question I asked him.
"I'm in my last year of college." He got up and moved a chair to be closer to me. I felt his minty breath on my skin. It gave me goosebumps. My baby hairs stood up. I was consumed of the smell of his cologne. It was a bourbon and mint mixture. The effect he had on me.
"Precioso." Our faces were inches away. His lips brushed up against mine. They set them on fire. The only thought on my mind was how his lips would feel on mines. That's when he did. It set my whole body a flame. He pulled me onto his lap and my hands found it to his hair. That's the night I lost my virginity and I didn't care that it was with him. He made me feel special and that's all I needed.
Selena and Eric while this was happening
"I swear your dad is a dick." Eric said while Selena and him were walking back to the dining room.
"I know he's always been like that." Selena said rolling her eyes.
"What you think Liam and Moonlight are doing?" Selena asked Eric.
"You know it's weird Liam never laughs around people that's not family." Eric said shrugging his shoulders. When Selena and Eric reached the dining room Liam and Moonlight were gone.
"Where'd they go."
...
Present
I slowly opened my eyes feeling a grip on my hand. It wasn't a hard grip or a soft grip. It was a tight but gentle grip. I looked over to my side to see him sleeping on a cot. I felt bad he should be home in a bed not on a cot.
"Liam." I softly said. Not expecting him to answer me.
"Yes Precioso." I heard his soft deep voice said as he lifted his head to face me. The moonlight shown on him and I swear it made his eyes shine brighter. I always liked his eyes. They looked like they had gold specks in them.
"Thank you." I thanked him for saving me. I was grateful even though he scares me. He had a small smile.
"You're welcome Precioso. I would've done it all over again if I had to." He said making me smile.
I owe my life to him.
