Winter released a loud and long yawn, the witch flying several feet above most buildings. The mid-morning sun causes the windows in the city to twinkle and shine, almost blindingly so. Noise from the people blow hustling and bustling along the streets nothing but a muffled cacophony for her. The people seemed in such a rush the witch briefly wondered if she was wasting magic to glamour herself from possible up lookers.
"Why are business owners such morning people" The woman sighed tiredly, tilting her large witch hat to better shield her eyes from the sunlight. Full Witch wear was often a good selling point when marketing oneself to a new client.
Though Winter had to admit she'd been pretty lucky, despite being new in town she had found several places that willingly purchase magical apparel and potions, some even requested orders from her. Apparently having a lot of demonic activity caused people to seek more magical base protections.
The Witch couldn't be happier with the discovery, with these kinds of sales her wallet would be well fed, which meant she would be well fed. For however long she chooses to stay in this city.
"Maybe I should take a quick nap before I start doing any more work" Winter muttered to herself as another yawn escaped from her. The Witch had woken before the sun, and her late night dinner with the Six-Eared Macaque left her a little on the sleep-deprived side.
'It's better to sleep than to fall out of the sky' a soft voice that echoed inside her suggested.
"Yeah, rather avoid that" The Witch agreed with her familiar, landing down on a quiet and shaded flat roof. Using one hand to pull her knee-length white hair over her shoulder and to her front, mostly so the hairs wouldn't accidentally get caught while sitting or laying down.
With a flick of her wrist, her broom became a scarf that floated up and wrapped loosely around her neck. The woman flopped her butt down onto the roof, using just a smidge of her wind magic to make the landing as soft as possible.
"After a quick cat nap I should grab something to eat" she yawned, tilting her hat forward to block out all the light as she slowly laid back so her head would lay softly on the cool, hard rooftop-
Her head plopped down on something... much softer and warmer than anticipated.
"Or you could eat something now?" A voice like velvet suggested.
Winter jumped, a burst of wind whipping around them from the scare as she bolted upright, grabbing her scarf and preparing for a fight as she turned to face- "Macaque!?"
"Sorry, did I startle you?" he said with a cheeky grin as he sat cross-legged before her, his hair a little ruffled from the gust of wind but otherwise seemed unfazed.
"Yes..." The Witch grumbled, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. Partly for realizing she had most liking been laying on his lap a moment ago and partly for being caught so off guard.
The downside of garments that conceded the wearer from demon senses; they dampened the wears ability to sense demons...
Wait a minute...
"How did you find me?" Winter questioned, she should not have been easy to find, she took pride in being hard to find.
"I have my ways" The Demon replied with a smirk.
"And those ways would be?" she probed, getting a sigh from the dark-haired monkey.
"Do you want to keep asking questions or do you want food?" Macaque asked holding out a bag with a single clawed finger.
It wasn't much of a question as the tantalizing scent of the food hidden in said bag crept its way to the Witch's nose.
"Food please" Winter requested, holding one gloved hand out towards the temptation demon.
