CHAPTER 7: TROUBLE

Chapter 7: Trouble

"Thank you ulit tito, tita, Brent, and Shire."

"No worries." Balik sa akin ni Shire."

We drove to the house in Manila to rest within a long time in the air. Suddenly someone knocked on the door.

"Where is Nixon!" Sigaw ni mama sa amin. Nakita ni mom si Nixon sa likod ni Shire.

"Ikaw ano ang ginagawa mo dito. Huh!" Gigil na sabi ni mom kay Nixon.

"Mom your hurting me." Pinipilit na tanggalin ni Nixon ang hawak ni mom sa braso niya. I had to do something to help my little brother.

Lumapit ako sa kanila at tinanggal ang hawak ni mom kay Nixon. Pumunta sa likod ko si Nixon at nagtago.

"Ikaw! Ikaw ba ang nagpapunta kay Nixon dito at umalis pa kayo kasama siya habang wala kami?! Huh!?" Nagulat ako nang malaman niya iyon. I thought that they didn't knew.

"Ako Lucy! Ako ang nagpunta kay Nigel dito at sumama siya sa amin para makasama niya ang kuya niya." Singit ni tita.

Mom groaned. "Kapal naman ng mukha mo Stacy!" Mom said angrily. "At ano sabi mo? Kuya ni Nixon?! Sa natatandaan ko walang kuya si Nixon." I broke when I heard that. Especially when Brent is here with me.

Napatitig na lang ako kay mom habang tumutulo na ang aking mga luha. But I lost it.

"Sige ma! Pagtabuyan mo ako sa pamilya natin gawin mo na lahat para mawala na ako sa isip mo pero di mo ako mawawala sa isip ng kapatid ko!" I suddenly cry hard.

"All of those years that I have been a great son to you but when I confess and came out you just throw me out like I was just a piece of paper!

"Kaya kitang kalilimutan Nigel! Kayang kaya kitang kalilimutan kaya din kitang pakalimutan sa isip at puso man ng anak ko!" Natigilan ako sa sinabi niya.

"A-Anak mo?"

"Oo anak ko! Hindi kita ituturing na kapatid ka ng anak ko!" All of those months of moving on and ending in the pain. It is still in me. I can't take it away from me.

"Go ahead mom try me! I am very sure that you cannot erase Nixon memories with me. Thank you for being the person who connected me and my brother closely."

"Wag mo nga ako matawag-tawag na mom! Hindi kita anak! Tandaan mo yan."

"Matagal ko nang alam mom I already move on, but seeing you here just make me angry and hurt again pero kahit na galit ako sa iyo tinuring pa rin kitang nanay ko!" I cried and I saw Brent starring at me with a worried face.

"Hindi ako aalis kay kuya mom. Siya lang at siya lang ang nag-iisang kuya ko kaya di mo magagawa ang plano mo mom!"

"Fine you want to stay with your brother?! Fine! Go with him. I would make sure that you and your brother will have a miserable life together."

"You're starting it right now mom, you are making our lives miserable just by abandoning us."

"And we won't let that happen tita! We will protect Nixon and Nigel until you beg for leaving and abounding them." Pagsalita ni Shire.

Mom left and Nixon stay with me. I know that mom  isn't afraid of what she said and I am scared of what could happen to us. I hug Nixon tight because I'm afraid of what would mom do to us.

"It's okay Nigel we would protect you and your brother." Pagcomfort ni tita.

"Thank you po tita."

"You are very welcome Nigel. We all know how your family treats you and you too Nixon."
