KEIGO.
location: romday st.
status: ?it was happening again. he knew it was happening again and he wasn't the happiest about it but he couldn't help it, it's what he'd be taught. the thing with obsessions is that once you get hooked, there's no going back. and the thing is when that thing or—person in this instance—is out of your grasp there's a need to protect and keep, but this person, [ name ], has no idea who he even was.
she also had no idea how she was being watched. it wasn't a good idea to have your windows bare and opened in the city. the neighborhood was a calm one but it wasn't far from the shopping center or subways, which meant people lurk, bad people could lurk.
people like him, to be honest he felt bad for her. but it couldn't be helped, and he'd make sure she was oblivious to it all, she'd have no worries and she'd be perfectly content.
but now he had to worry about how exactly he would make it happen.
sitting in his car, which was parked right in front of the small building. seeing her rush back and forwards while a mannequin sat straight in his line of vision. she was a workaholic, he didn't mind that. in fact—if he was being honest—he spent just about an hour watching her work, seeing her successes, her confusion and even the moments she stomped out a curse after doing a mistake.
he enjoyed just simply watching her, he couldn't imagine what it'd be like to do so in person, to be able to—
"TAKAMI?" the voice made his body nearly jump out the car seat, with a grumble he lowered his window for rumi to look in, "YOU LIVE AROUND HERE?" she still yelled, even if he already lowered his window, nonetheless he shook his head, deciding to ignore it, "no, just doing a stakeout."
"oh." she let her brows furrow only for a second in thought before changing all to quick, "room for one more?"
he looked to the passenger seat to see the stacks of files and then his briefcase all in a neat pile before looking back at her to say, "i'm pretty much done for the day. i was about to head off," but even she knew that was a lie, her eyes narrowed at him, as if studying him before she backed off the car door with a sigh, "you're weird. stop being weird takami."
she was already off walking down the street before he could even manage to say anything. not that he was gonna anyways, he wouldn't even know what to say—it was like those sentences that stand alone and could be left with no reply—and he wouldn't bother to come up with unique either.
rumi lifted her head to see the glow coming from the bare windows of [ name ]'s apartment, a smile painting on her lips once she looked back at his car and shook her head, but it wasn't an upset shake it was more of an "i knew it" shake. keigo gave a tiny smile back that he was sure she wouldn't even catch because of the palm shielding half of it and not to mention the lack of light in the car to even display it.
but then his phone shook on his lap, it's screen glowing with the text that had his head shaking,
