KEIGO.
location: home
status: alone."keigo!" the faint voice called, "keigo come back!" but he didn't know exactly where he was, it was just a large golden field...and he was too scared to move. "kei!" the voice yelled again, a feminine voice. his eyes widened once the shouts came closer and he realized who it was, "mom!"
his voice seemed younger but he didn't dwell on it long before he called again, this time rushing past the tall golden grass, but no matter how hard he tried and shouted, the voice distanced and he didn't feel as if he'd gotten any closer.
"please..." he sniffled, "don't leave me." a hiccup escaped him and finally his movements slowed, the voice was no longer in the air, leaving only a long moment of silence.
"where'd you think you're going?" a pair of hands grabbed him and—
a gasp passed him. his eyes frantically looking around the space—his bedroom. again. a palm ran down his face as he got up, attempting to wake himself up from his nightmare.
it wasn't anything new, it happened every night. so he didn't understand why he kept waking up like this. he should be used to it by now, he thought.
it's been 10 years after all.

"[ name ]!", graham smiled, rushing over with two cups of coffees in hand, "i brought your usual...if it still is.." he said sweetly, holding out your cup for you to take as he sipped his. you didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't anymore, but he remembered your old taste at least.
you smiled warmly at him, taking the mildly hot cup into your hands, "you remembered..." your voice still sleepy and low but he heard you nonetheless, "you used to order it all the time. i think i remembered your order better than mine sometimes.." your eyes lifted to his that looked down at you with a swirl of emotions you couldn't make out, but the intensity made a flush of warmth coat your cheeks.
you dipped your face away, taking the opportunity to take tiny sips from the hot coffee and avoid answering but his eyes were glued onto you and your heart felt as if it would topple over if you took anymore, "really..?" you mumbled, still avoiding his eyes.
you heard him sigh helplessly, "was that...too much?" he questioned, his smile tight once you looked at him again, "you're avoiding my gaze...and i know it's been a while but i thought—maybe.. if i pretended that it hasn't then we'd..." his hand gingerly cupped your cheek, gently directing your gaze to him, "get back to normal quicker.." he then finished, "you loved the taste of that coffee, you used to want to be a doctor—you said you hated the city!" his smile slightly quivering as he went on, "and yet, here you are...and you're none of things anymore...you're like a different person. but i can't expect you to be the same...it's been what? 10 years?"
you leaned more into his touch, "graham..." you sighed, because he was right. and it broke you that he felt this way—it wasn't what you intended to have happened.
"i didn't want it to happen this way.." you voiced,
his thumb circled on your skin, "i know," the hand that you just realized was resting on your hip dragged you closer into a hug, but you pushed back, "wait a minute— how'd you know i didn't like the coffee. it's good!" you slowly smiled trying to brighten the mood, his hand lifted from your cheek to then flick the space between your brows, "because your eyebrows were pinched aaannnddd you only do that when your grosses out." he shrugged,
"i wasn't grossed out..." you shook your head, so he tipped your hand holding the cup closer to your face, "alright. take another sip. actually, take a big sip." he insisted, and while normally you wouldn't mind, this coffee mixture seemed like the fast pass to a hospital bed for heartburn.
"excuse me," a deep silvery voice said beside the two of you, once you looked, you saw the blonde with the perfect yet tousled hair again,
again?
"wait..." you both said in sync, a smile spread onto his lips, "you're that designer from the park, aren't you?"
