"Eat well."

Rian was all smiles after placing the stir-fried beef and mushroom pot on the table. He then sat opposite Irving who seemed to have not gotten out of his disbelief just yet.

Irving kept staring at him. Ever since earlier at the office, when he unexpectedly dropped the bomb of cooking and eating together, bafflement never left Irving's system.

"Are you really okay?" Irving asked, not moving an inch and eyeing Rian closely.

Rian couldn't help chuckling a bit. He nodded. "Of course."

Irving didn't smile. He still looked suspiciously confused at what's happening. "What suddenly happened to you?"

Rian chuckled again and just shrugged.

Irving wasn't letting go. "What –"

"Just eat. The food's getting cold," Rian snapped Irving's guarded look and moved the pot and the rice bowl a little bit closer. "Eat."

After keenly staring at him for a moment or two, Irving eventually took his spoon and fork but his eyes were still eyeing the younger man like a hawk.

"Are you really Rian?"

He chuckled. "Of course," he answered as he started getting food for himself.

Rian waited for Irving's reaction when they started eating. Though the older man was still giving him suspicious eyes every now and then, Rian was happy to see his face lighting up after his first spoonful. Rian smiled with pride in his eyes. It'd be easy to make the older man happy then.

Foolish. Irving's been eating his food since a long time ago and every single time, the older man's reaction didn't disappoint.

Rian giggled at his thought.

"Delicious?" he asked.

Irving sneered at him adorably but nodded nevertheless.

"Good," Rian smiled again before having a spoonful himself.

"What's gotten into you, really? Why this invitation?" Irving kept questioning.

Rian smirked. "And by invitation, you mean me inviting you over for dinner in your own home, correct?" he emphasized the words.

"Very funny," Irving made a face and he looked even more adorable.

Rian couldn't help but giggle again.

How could the man look adorable with anything?

Rian still had a smile on his lips when he resumed eating.

Irving undividedly kept his eyes at the person in front of him, still apprehensive in the situation they're in. "This is the first time I'm seeing you smiling every after five seconds. You never do that. It's creeping the hell out of me," he commented which caused a slight laughter from Rian. "What exactly happened? Did I miss something?"

When Rian still didn't answer, Irving just shook his head and went on eating. Whatever Rian's reasons were, he's honestly very glad that it resulted to the younger man cooking for him and them enjoying a meal together in his home.

"Irving..."

Irving quickly looked up, his jaw dropped.

What the... Did he hear it right???

It's the first time Rian called him by his name and it surprised the hell out of him.

On the other side, Rian didn't look flustered at all. He looked straight into Irving eyes with a big, radiant smile. "Thank you. For everything."
