Just note that Nicolay is AKA Terrance , when he is at work he goes by Nicolay and only his close friends get to call him Terrance as a nickname . However note that neither is his real name but no one knows that , it'll make sense later on .

Rook Paxston ~

I sat with my hands in my hair leaning on my elbows ,"But why would you think she would want to try and kill you ?" I asked a bit confused .

Ivan chuckled without humour ,"Because she has tried to kill be before , but she forgot that I was also a vampire and that I could read thoughts ." I signalled him to continue , he sighed ,"Poisoning , burning , drowning , thats nothing new ."

I  nearly choked on the popcorn I was eating , yes I'm sitting here eating popcorn. There's just so much drama , its like a movie .
I had to help myself to a snack .

I took a sip of water ,"You didn't report it ?" Ivan scratched his head ,"Nah , what would I tell them ? Hey officer , we are not human , she's my wife and that she wants to kill me ?" I leaned on my elbows resting my head in my palms ,"Yea , I agree , that would sound ridiculous , but why would she do it ?"

Ivan shrugged,"Because she would be around 45 million strong after my death ."My mouth flung open ,"F. . . Fourty five million dollars?" He nodded , I felt like fainting , I mean thats a ton of money .How much money does this guy make ? He's stinking rich ! Ivan cleared his throat, he looked at me and I could see annoyance written all over his face . I mentally slapped myself, I forgot that ge was a mind reader .

Why do I keep forgetting that fact ?

I decided to go to the club although I start on Monday again . I wanted to go say hi to Nick . I walked by the familiar path and went around the corner when the club was . As usual he was hanging around at the door . I crept up behind him ,

He instinctively grabbed me from behind and got me on the ground , I gasped as his eyes turned black ,"Nick ! Its me , Layla ." His eyes slowly turned back to its usual blueish grey and he gave me a hug ,"Oh sorry , did I hurt you ?"

I shook my head ,"No , but you scared me a bit ." He chuckled ,"You shouldn't be sneaking up on people like that , what if I hurt you next time ?" I smiled ,"I know you won't hurt me Nick , I trust you ."

Nick leaned closer ,"Lets go for a walk ." I glanced into his eyes ,"But you are still on the job-" he cut me off by grabbing my arm and we ran down the street in vampire speed . He was holding my hand ,"I know its cheesy to say but I like how your hand fits in myne ."

I blushed ,"Since when have you been looking up cheesy pick up lines ?" He snorted ,"I dunno ." I stopped as a heavenly scent hit my nose . We walked towards the park and saw that there were all kinds of stalls , it kinda looked like a mini carnaval .

My mouth watered at the bakery stall , I love brownies ! Nick nuged me ,"What if we go and get some brownies ?" I sighed ,"The line is too long , there is no-" within a flash he dissapeared and reapeared . He handed me some brownies I gave him a confused look ,"But the line , how ? Wait , did you-"

He chuckled ,"No I didn't steal it , I put the money in the till ." I jumped to hug him dropping one of the brownies ,"Thank you , Thank you , Nick ." I said very exitedly . He huskily chuckled which made my insides melt . I reached down to get the brownie I dropped , he had the same idea .

We stared at each other for a few moments untill he handed me the brownie . My cheeks burned , we were nearly an inch from each other . He glanced at my cheeks ,"If I knew that you blushed so cutely I would have made you blush every day ."

I looked away , he cupped my face ,"No need to hide , I find it adorable .Do you remember my words I said a while ago ?" I tried to remember but I couldn't , I shook my head . He took my hand and led me to the abandoned building across the road .
