 Izuku's POV:

It's been a few days since I was discharged from the hospital after the doctor in charge of me deemed that I was already healed enough to go home. The doctor still advised me to not overuse my quirk when I return to U.A. when he saw us out of the hospital.

It's been weird, to be honest, after I was discharged from the hospital. I have to get used to my new appearance now. The change in hair and eyes made me look so foreign that I felt like I wasn't me whenever I looked in the mirror. It was like I was looking at someone else's face. But not only did my appearance change, but my quirk as well. It seems that my quirk was the whole reason for this new appeal of mine that I have going on.

The doctor informed me that through the grave situation that I faced and after feeling all kinds of emotions, my quirk evolved. He mentioned that quirk evolution is a very rare case that rarely happens to anyone. He said that quirk evolution is a rare and natural phenomenon that happens to most people who are in danger or when they become so emotional that their quirks start to alter and meet the needs of that person. I was quite a bit shocked at first since my quirk evolving was the last thing I suspected that caused me to have a coma.

They ran some tests and listed down what I can now do after my quirk evolved. The first was that I can now freely move in space, meaning that I can now fly, which explains why I was floating when I woke up from my coma. Another thing was that I no longer need to shoot a beam to create my portals and I can now instead just envision them to create them. I can now even create portals at any distance as long as my energy suffices.

I then turned my attention to what I now call my Celestial Incarnate form. A form where my body literally becomes a portal itself where any known matter can phase through me and appear on the other side of a portal. The doctor and quirk specialist explained that in this form, my dimensional and spatial energy becomes infinite, allowing me to become momentarily invincible for a minute. They did encourage me to keep on training my form since I could possibly extend my time limit.

So many things happened in the first week of school that it was kind of overwhelming. I thought at first that it would be more relaxed and chill since we're all still adjusting to this new environment. Who would've foreseen that we'd get attacked and all of my friends get terribly injured, including me?

Speaking of my friends, ever since I left the hospital, Kacchan and Mei have visited me every day at home, keeping tabs on me, making sure that I was okay or whatever. Honestly, they're pampering me too much. My other friends, like Iida, Yaomomo, Kirishima, and the others, all texted and chatted me, asking if I was doing well. I reassured them, of course, and told them that I was really looking forward to seeing them all again when school resumes. And now, that day has finally come.

Monday morning arrived as I got up bright and early to get ready to go to school after almost a week off. My mom, who was still uneasy about letting me continue at U.A. but still agreed after a bit of convincing, made me a stack of chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. I ate and finished as I took a shower and got into my uniform. She drove me to school as she kissed me goodbye after she headed off to work.

I made my way inside the building, feeling a bit nervous and self-conscious of my new appearance. Will they like me? Will they still think of me as their friend even though I don't look like myself when we last met? These thoughts kept bouncing all over my mind as I finally reached my classroom. I hesitated to open the door at first before doing it anyways. When I opened the door, they were all loud as usual, but became silent when they all turned and looked at me. All have these confused looks.

"Uhm, H-Hi-" I couldn't even finish my greeting when they all suddenly shouted at me.

"IZUKU?!" They all looked at me with the confused and shocked looks that I expected them to have.
