"HEY, WHERE WERE YOU THIS MORNING?" Steve asked, walking up behind Evelyn who walked down the school halls.

Looking up at him, Evelyn gives him an apologetic look, "Sorry, had to get home before my mom and little brother noticed I was gone." Steve nods in understanding, so she continues with a smirk, nudging him with her shoulder, "So, how was your night with the princess?".

Steve rolls his eyes playfully, "It was good, thanks for asking, gossip girl."

"Please, you were gonna tell me anyways." Evelyn said, rolling her eyes in the same manner Steve did. Steve then wraps his arm around her shoulders, smiling at her, "Got me there. Come on, let's get to class."

"That's why science doesn't make any damn sense." Tommy spoke with a mouth full of pudding. It was now lunch time and the whole gang was at their usual table. Tommy and Carol sat together while Steve and Evelyn sat across them.

"No, I swear. Look at this. It's totally frostbite." Carol complained, freaked out by the weird mark on her ankle. Evelyn inspected it with her, her face cringing at the look of it.

"Oh, thanks, man," Tommy said to Steve who handed him his pudding cup. Grabbing it, he continues with his and carols conversation. "It's a heated pool."

"Well, if it's not frostbite, then what is it?" Carol asked him in frustration. "Scabies." Evelyn responded, scrunching her nose. Carol throws a pea at her, giving her a small glare that made Evelyn chuckle.

"Ugh, I don't care what it is, it's disgusting!" Steve gagged, swatting his hand at her. "Get it off the table. We're eating here."

"Hey, Tommy." Nancy spoke, grabbing everyone's attention. Evelyn hummed, having not noticed she was even there. "When you left, did you see Barb?"

"What?" Tommy questioned.

"Barbara. She's not here today."

"I seriously have no idea who you're talking about." Tommy joked, being the ass he usually is. Carol snorts at this and Evelyn rolls her eyes, giving his ankle a quick kick.

"Don't be an ass." Evelyn snarled.

Tommy and Carol give her a confused look; she was the one who always initiated the jokes on Nancy, the one who always had something to say about her.

"Come on, did you see her or not?" Steve sighed, knowing damn well he didn't care. All he wanted was to get on Nancy's good side.

"No, she was gone when we left." Tommy grumbled.

"Probably couldn't stand listening to all that moaning." Carol smirked at the couple, then begins to moan. "Oh, Steve!"

"Oh, Steve! Oh, Steve!" Evelyn joins, followed by Tommy who bangs on the table. "Oh, Steve..."

Steve tries to hide his laughter and looks over at Nancy, "Listen...I'm sure she's fine. She's probably just...she's probably just, like, skipping or something."

Evelyn notices that doesn't cheer the girl up at all, rolling her eyes at Steve's idiocy. "Listen, i saw her through the window of Steve's guest bedroom and when I went down to keep her company, she was gone."

Nancy perks up at this, "do-do you think she went home or something? Or maybe she went to the bathroom?"

"Look, sweetie...I'm not some weirdo who just watches people, okay? I already told you where I last saw her." Evelyn tells her, putting her hand up to signal for her to stop talking.

Nancy sinks in her seat, but gives her a small nod. "Yeah, thanks."

It was after school now and Evelyn was on her way to cheer practice when the back of her skirt was lifted. Screaming, she quickly spins around to see a laughing Carol, Tommy, and Steve. Tommy being the culprit.
