"Don't look now," I say, even my stomach drops a bit.

I can't help but notice how he grips my waist tightly in his hands, more out of fear than anything. I stifle a laugh at Sunwoo tightly closing his eyes as we plummet towards the ground, his straight eyebrows furrowed as his wavy hair flies up.

I feel a bit of a harsh landing and the rest of the team cheers for Sunwoo.

"You can let go now." I say as Sunwoo opens his eyes. It takes a second before he realizes and retreats his hands off of me.

"Proud of you," Kevin slings his arm around Sunwoo's shoulder who ducks away.

"Come on guys, let's go," Changmin rounds everyone up and we jog to a safer area with a group of trees around us.

"What do we do now?" Eric asks.

"Just wait, and be quiet." Juyeon says.

"Juyeon how are you so tall?" Eric keeps talking.

"Tch. You want to borrow some of my height?" Juyeon asks.

"YES," Eric says.

"Of course you can," Juyeon says.

"Really??"

"No."

By instinct we stand with our backs facing each other in a rotating circle, listening for any sign of another player.

Half an hour later we hear nothing but silence.

"Okay, I think it's-" Changmin stops talking immediately when we hear some battle sounds coming from above the cliff.

"Pass me the tablet," Sunwoo says and Kevin throws it to him.

He uses the binocular feature and zooms into the scene. There seems to be two players from one team fighting off four players from another.

"Oh sick," Sunwoo says.

But we all jump when there's a rustle in the trees above us.

Everyone draws their weapon of choice as a team of seven drops down from the high tree branches; Players 21, 08, 13, 87, 33, 50, and 69. They land in a triangle formation in front of us, as if they've been practicing as a team.

I notice how Changmin and Juyeon instinctively take steps so that they're more in front of me. Sub consciously, it bothers me. I know they're just trying to help protect me, but it's just bothersome that it has to be this way.

Nonetheless, I take my position behind them and next to Kevin.

"Well well. The rumors were true," Player 33 says. "There's a girl here."

"Yes! That means you owe me five dollars when we get out of here." 08 says to him.

"Why don't you take your hat off? No point in hiding it anymore." 21 says. "I'd like to see who my most worthy opponent is," and the rest of his team laughs.
