taehyung knew he was in for an adventure the moment he stepped onto the plane. buckling his belt around his waist and looking out the window, he made sure his headphones were in place and ready to play music as soon as the plane took off. when it did, he turned up the volume on the music.

he gulped as the plane lifted off the ground, his hand gripping the belt. taehyung had never been a fan of planes, but he had another one to catch after this one.

he wasn't sure what his plans were, but his parents had apparently already enrolled him in a school on the island. his mother's friend is supposed to be waiting for him at the island's mini-airport.

'what on earth am I doing?'

'actually, what was my mother thinking?' he wondered, brushing the strands of hair from his face. Would visiting this island make him feel even more lonely?  his mind was racing with thoughts.

taehyung fell asleep on both plane rides, waking up as soon as he felt the plane dip slightly. he remained seated as the majority of the passengers on the plane disembarked. before exiting the plane, he stood up and grabbed one of his bags.

he let out a sigh as he tried to adjust his eyes to the bright light, and then looked around. he let out a small 'wow' as his gaze settled on the numerous trees and mountains in close proximity.

he followed other people into the airport because he didn't know who to look for. the brunette decided to go get the rest of his bags and then look around.

as he was about to go get his bags, he noticed a woman holding a sign with his name. he exhaled a sigh. he grabs his other bags and walks towards her.

as he approached the woman, he noticed that she was of average height, had brown hair, and appeared to be pleasant. taehyung didn't know what her name was because his parents never told him.

"a-ah hi, my name is taehyung," the brunette said as soon as he approached her."look at how tall you've grown. you were a baby the last time I saw you "she has a soft smile on her face as she pats the male's shoulders. the brunette nodded, feeling a little awkward which she seemed to sense

"let's get going, you're going to love it here," she said as she walked away quickly. "gosh, she's a fast walker," taehyung grumbled as he jogged up behind her as they exited the airport.

taehyung sat in the car, looking out the window to see what the island of Aroha had to offer. the male could see from the car that it was a beautiful island. for the first time in a long time, he was eager to get in the car and explore the beautiful island.

maybe being away from his parents was exactly what he needed, not having to tread carefully around them both. He can be himself. that is exactly what he desired. his mother's friend didn't say much, which he appreciated. when he got settled in, he hoped to have a proper conversation with her.

"we're here," she sang as her car came to a stop down a driveway. when the car came to a stop, his hands gripped the door and pushed it open, only for the cold breeze to brush against his face. He loved it.

"follow me, I'll show you around the house." the women said as they assisted him in bringing his bags into the house. "I live here alone, so you don't have to worry about anyone else," she chuckled halfheartedly. taehyung could tell she was upset by her own statement; she must get lonely here. he hopes she has some friends here.

"because your room is at the end of the corridor, you have a nice view of the mountains. this island is unique in that it offers views of the forest, the ocean, or the mountains." taehyung had always been observant, and he could tell she was devoted to this island.

she appeared to be a little older than his mother, possibly in her early 60s."I apologise for asking; my mother never told me what your name is." the brunette inquired, his hand rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"call me rose," she said as she placed his bags on the double bed."all right, rose," taehyung hummed, dropping the bags in his hands onto the floor next to the bed. he nodded as he looked around the spacious room. He could fall in love with this.

the lighting was excellent, and there was a TV and an empty bookshelf for his books."I'll let you settle in, dear; please let me know if you require anything. I'll be working in the garden "before closing the door, she said softly.
