It's been quite sometime since we are eating. Our parents are the only ones talking meanwhile we both are just answering plainly if asked

I'm done with my dinner but i just sat there since everyone is still eating. Idk why our parents are eating sooo slowly like Joshua is done too, he literally joined us late

MrsHong: you both done eating?
Y/n: yes aunty
MrsHong: go wash your hands and then go to the garden for some fresh air

The parents started smirking while looking at eachother. Tf is going on

MrHong: Joshua, take care of her

Why is he speaking like that? We are just going to the backyard

I and Joshua went to wash our hands

Shua: let me go wash up soon, umm.. can you wait here for sometime? Nevermind, come with me upstairs

I just followed him till his room

Shua: you can sit here, I'll come soon

He took some clothes and a towel and offered me to sit on his bed. His room looks so aesthetic, damn

He came out soon with some casual clothes on. I envy him right now, he can wear whatever wants but here I am, in this uncomfortable formal dress

Shua: let's go

We soon reached their indoor garden which was very beautiful. It was well maintained. We sat on a bench quietly. Soon Joshua sighed pressing his head

Y/n: headache?
Shua: a bit
Y/n: must be exausting joining some formal dinner soon after work

I chuckled meanwhile he just smiled

Shua: actually work ended at 5 today, my father told me there will be dinner with their best friend and his family

He paused meanwhile i looked at him confused, if so then why was he late?

Shua: but then i met one of my friends with benefits and hooked up with her..

I looked at him with eyes wide open, not that i am judging him, it's his life but why is he saying this all to me? Isn't it weird?

Shua: okay so i did more than that and i forgot about this dinner thing
Y/n: okay?

Joshua got a call and he soon picked it up

Shua: they are calling us in, let's go

Soon we went in, this time they were sitting in the living soon on the couch. I and Joshua sat beside eachother since that space was only available

Mother: so children--
MrsHong: actually Y/n's mother, Joshua knows about it. He heard about it while we were talking so only y/n needs to know
