?: We were supposed to go out today!
Shua: I'm sorry Tia, maybe tomorrow
Tia: ugh! You've wasted my time. If you're leaving early then take me with you

Saying that, the girl named Tia lied on the sofa

Shua: you can leave now

I looked at Tia who was busy on her phone

Y/n: Tia i think you should le-
Shua: I meant you

He glanced at me. I was a bit taken back but that's how he treats me

Y/n: dad said to come together

He then kept on looking around his files and doing his usual work. I sat down on the sofa where Tia was laying down. I expected him to ask me questions like, "why so sudden?" "Party out of nowhere?" "Why didn't Dad tell me" etc etc. but nothing.

It's time and we made our way towards the hall area. Everything was decorated beautifully and the place looked aesthetic. Didn't imagine a workplace would look this pretty

Joshua did seem surprised and i assume he was curious too but didn't ask me anything. Once we spot Dad and Mom, we went towards them. They seemed happy

Dad: Here they are! My beautiful son and daughter together
Y/n: hello dad
Mom: you both are right on time, the function is going to start
Shua: what is this all about?
Dad: just a random gathering, but a little special

Joshua just smiled. Mom and dad went to greet other guests. I and him were just greeting the guests who came to us to congratulate us on our wedding

Out of nowhere, my parents approached us. Ofcourse they work here as well but approaching us was a bit unexpected

Shua: hello mom-dad
Father: hello son
Mother: how are you doing Joshua?
Shua: I'm doing great, how about you mom?
Mother: hmm.. Shua, please take care of my daughter. I know what she has done to you is not forgivable but she is your wife after-
Father: let's go meet other guests, enjoy son

Mother started crying while talking to Joshua, father stopped her and took her away from us. Father just looked at me, sighed and went. I was feeling suffocated, my own parents ignoring me, i never imagined this day to come. But i have to hold myself together, it's a special day for Joshua and i don't want to ruin it. I looked at Joshua who seemed to observe the surrounding near us. Ofcourse, be didn't seem worried about me.. like why would he..
