You Saved Me

Aidan's P.O.V

I woke up and I was leaned back into the hospital chair next to Neve's bed. On the window seat were Mr. and Mrs. Hampton were cuddled up next to each other asleep. I looked up and saw Neve sleeping. Her bruises were defiantly darker and more swollen but she was still beautiful. 

I saw her eyes starting to open, so I leaned close to her and inertwined our fingers together. Her eyes opened and I saw those beautiful green eyes of hers and she smiled when she saw me, "Good morning, beautiful." I said quietly, trying not to wake Mr. and Mrs. Hampton up. 

"Good morning. Were you here all night?" I shook my head, "Yes, I wasn't going to leave you here." She smiled and squeezed my hand. "Thank you, Aidan. I love you." I leaned over top of her and kissed her on the forehead, "I love you too. I'll be right back" 

I walked out into the hall and towards to the bathroom. After I went to the bathroom, I headed back to Neve's room. I walked in and the doctor walked right in behind me, "Good morning everyone." Mr. and Mrs. Hampton had woken up when I went to the bathroom and were by Neve's side. 

We said good morning and he grabbed Neve's folder and looked over it. "Well it looks like she has to stay more night because she has a little swelling in one area of the brain and I don't feel comfortable with her leaving just yet, so hang in there and we are working on fixing you." 

He smiled at us all, and then left the room. Mr. and Mrs. Hampton headed to the cafeteria and are bringing food back to us. I sat next to Neve and she her eyes widened, "Oh my goodness! Aidan you are going to miss school!" I just laughed and gave her a smile, "I can make it up, don't worry. I want to stay with you." 

She smiled and poked my dimples, "Aww, aren't you sweet!" I kissed her on the lips. I remembered that a police man was coming to talk to Neve and I about yesterday and Nick. "A police officer is coming to talk to us sometime this morning." She groaned but then shook her head. 

Neve's P.O.V

Aidan has been so great in all of this, he is such a great guy. His lower face and half of his neck had 5 o'clock shadow and it made him have a sexier, manlier appearance than usual "Thank you for saving me yesterday. I don't know what I would have done if you weren't there." His facial expression went from happy to not so happy in seconds. "Neve, I should have been there sooner. It was my fault, I should have been there sooner to protect you. I'm sorry, and there is no need to thank me."

I put my hand on the side of his jaw and looked into his hazel eyes, "You did everything you could. And it was my own fault because I came out of the building before 7. If it wasn't for you, I could be dead right now. You saved me." Tears filled both of our eyes.

About an hour later the police man showed up and we told him our story. He said that someone at the bowling alley called the cops after we left and they took Nick to be held at the police station. The police man says that Nick has a broken nose and is pretty bruised up. I honestly didn't care that much that he was hurt. They asked if they wanted me to press charges and I said no.

"No? Why not, Neve? He has been verbally bulling you for 4 years, he trashed your room, hit your mom AND attacked you and you're going to let him off the hook?!" Adian said raising his voice at me. 

"No, it's only going to cause more problems." I said trying to avoid Aidan's glare. The policeman finished all of the questions and left. I have figured that I am going to take my GED test and if I pass I will be out of high school and on my way to college in September. This way, I can work more hours throughout now and the summer and also, I will have more time with Aidan before he leaves.

"Aidan you look so tired. You can go home, sleep and eat a good meal. Please do it, you look miserable." He looked at me with tired eyes. "Are you sure you?" I shook my head yes, and he gave me a kiss on the forehead and walked out of the room. 

I was all alone, but I kinda was glad because I needed time to think. About an hour after Aidan left, someone knocked on my door, "Come in" I said in a cheerful voice. 

The door opened and Jia jumped in the room, "Surprise!!" Jia had her huge smile on her face and she looked cheerful as always. She had dark crops on with a hot pink tank top and her straight black hair was in a high ponytail.

"JIA!!"  I yelled and she ran over to me and gave me a big hug. I flinched at the pain but I tried to hide it but she could tell that I was hurting. "Sorry, I didn't mean to-." I cut her off, it wasn't her fault at all. "No, no you didn't hurt me. Really, no big deal. Now, why did you skip school?!" I asked her and gave her a smile.

"Well I decided to stop by and see you....at 10 in the morning!!!" She busted out laughing and so did I. "Jia, you crack me up! You are going to get in trouble!"

She gave me a look of disapproval and then laughed, "I had a doctors appointment this morning so my mom called the school and I told her you were here so she said to come and hangout with you." I smiled and then she reached for her bag and grabbed some movies.

"Alright! I have Pitch Perfect, Zombieland, Pineapple Express, and last BUT not least we have Tangled!" I laughed and we picked Zombieland to watch first. We laughed and then went into great detail on how we would survive if there was a zombie apocalypse. Jia is the funniest person I think I've ever met and I'm so glad that I have her as a friend.

We finished Zombieland and Aidan walked in and he had a boquet of white and light blue roses. Jia and I both gasped, which made us all laugh. He brought a vase and filled it with water and put the flowers in it next to my bed. The aroma of the flowers made me feel like it was summer. 

"I'll leave you two love birds alone." Jia said with a smirk. "No, we can watch more movies together, all 3 of us." Aidan told Jia, so Jia sat down on the couch and Aidan sat next to me in the big comfy chair. We watched Pitch Perfect and laughed a lot. After that we watched Pineapple express and then Jia had to leave and head home. We said our good byes and then she headed out the door.

After she left, I was really tired so Aidan crawled into bed with me and wrapped his arms around me and I rested my head on his chest and he ran his fingers through my long hair and I drifted off to sleep..
