I Make This Vow To You

"We are going to get married!" I said into Adian's neck as he held me tight. "I know! We will have to set a date." Right when he said that I pulled away. 

"you'll be leaving in a couple of days and won't be back for months. Aidan, my dad won't be here then. I can't get married without him being there." I said and tears were streaming down my face. 

"Shh, shhh. It's ok." He said as he pulled me into a hug. I breathed in his wonderful scent as I rested my head on his rock hard chest.

"Maybe we can go to the Justice of the Peace and get a marriage licences. I know that it wouldn't be a huge wedding because of short notice, but your dad will be able to be there." He said and I looked up into his beautiful eyes. 

"I never thought of that. Are you okay with that?" He gave me a smile, "as long as you're happy, I am too." 

I grabbed his neck and pulled his face close to mine, " I love you." He kissed my nose, "I love you more."

We drove to my house and I saw my parents car. I ran inside, Aidan following. I got into the kitchen and my parents and Claudia were in the kitchen. I held up my hand, showing my ring, and my mom and Claudia let out a scream. I did too, and we all ran together.Mom brought me into a big hug and then pulled away  and she and Claudia observed my ring. 

My dad got up and came over to me and gave me a hug. "My little girl is growing up." Tears started in my eyes and I started getting a little choked up. He reached over and shook Aidan's hand, "I told you she would say yes, son." He said and we all started to laugh. 

We then told them my plan and both my parents and Claudia were excited. "We will go get the licence tomorrow. We should talk to Pastor Tom, to see if he could marry is in the church." We all agreed and then a big smile appeared on my moms face, "We need to get you a dress!" 

I laughed, "Mom, I'm not paying a lot of  money for a dress that I'm only going to wear once, so don't get your hopes up ."  She gave me a silly face,"Don't you worry, I will find you the perfect dress.  let's go!"

She grabbed me and Claudia and pushed us out the door, "Bye!" I managed to say before my mom shut the door and pushed us to the car. We got in the car and headed to the dress store and on our way we picked Jia up.  

We tried on all these expensive dress that were very pretty but I just couldn't buy something so expensive. I finally talked my mom into letting us look at prom dresses. Yes, prom dresses. All prom dresses are beautiful, and some are expensive but not as expensive as wedding dresses. 

We got into the store and we picked out every white prom dress we could find in my size. I finally tried on the perfect dress. I came out and my mom, Jia and Claudia gasped. I looked into the mirror and I knew it was the perfect dress. 

It was a one shoulder white as snow prom dress. It had petite diamonds on the top of the chest piece and up onto the strap of the shoulder. It fit perfect in the chest and waist, not too tight but not too lose. It also had diamonds that went around the waist and then it flowed all the way down to the floor and had a high slit up the side of the dress revealing most of my thigh.

"this is it!" I said and they nodded in agreement. I changed into my clothes and then we bought the dress. We then went to a shoe store and bought the cutest hot pink pumps. We drove home and started to plan everything. Charlie came over and he and Aidan went to find tuxes.

We planned that after Aidan I got married that we would come back to my house and have a big party in the back yard for our reception. We didn't want to spend a lot of money on the wedding because hopefully we will be able to afford an apartment sometime.
