It's been days since Kion's win over Buffalo. Kion continued his participation in tournament and trainings with Chumvi's ninjas, right know he just finished his training with ninja armed in oriental sabers.
Kion: Phew, that was a real training.
Ninja: But it's worth it, now you will have no problem with fighting Mantis.
Mantis was another participator in the tournament Kion was supposed to fight tomorrow, he is a leopard dressed in red monk robes armed in oriental sabers.
Ninja: Good luck tomorrow. - he said bowing and walking away.
Kion was also going to walk away when...
???: I was hoping to be alone with you.
Kion turned around and noticed a jaguar in light ninja armor standing on the other side of the pond.
Kion: Who are you?
Hawk: My name, is Hawk. I travel the land, searching for the perfect rival, but I've yet to meet one. Could you be the one I'm looking for? ( Hawk is another challenger just like Trickster, we meet him in the Act II in the game)
Kion: I'm afraid there is only one way to find.
Hawk: Hermit's tournament is just a vanity fair. It's mastery that matters, not brute strength! My naginata could be yours, if you're skillful enough.

Kion: Then you leave me no choice.
Both of them got into fighting position pulled out their weapons.

The fight with Hawk was tough, like with Trickster. Both Kion and Hawk were very skilled and none of them wanted to give up, both of them were breathing heavily when the fight was over. Kion of course finished the fight victoriously.
Hawk: I bow to you, friend. Take my weapon, you earned it. - he said bowing and offering Kion's his weapon.
Kion: Thank you. But you will make better use of it than me.
Hawk: I'm suprised, most of warriors would rather take my weapon.
Kion: I'm not like that. Me myself lost my weapon and i still regret it. What is going to be your next quest?
Hawk: My next quest. . . a new life goal. Perhaps a martial arts school of my own?
Kion: You could also go to Pridelands.
Hawk: Why?
Kion: My friend there wants to start a clan, an Order of strong warriors. And you could join them.
Hawk: I see, thank you. I might take that offer.
And both warriors bowed to each other and went their directions.
THE NEXT DAY
Kion and Mantis standed on the platform, both of them waiting for signal to fight.
Mantis: No one should posses such power. This competition is pointless. I will win and the secret will end with me. - he said grabbing his sabers.
Assistant: HAJIME!

Two warriors presented a great show of skills and talent but still Kion triumphantly left the platform.
Mantis: Heed my warnings! Magic has no place in martial arts. It dirties the mind, clouds the focus, and in the wrong hands it can bring destruction and despair. - he said before heading to the gate.
Kion: (in mind) Magic?
SOME TIME LATER, ONO'S HOUSE
Simba: Magic! So that is Hermit's great secret. Beware, my son, magic is dangerous and powerful. It should not be used!
Kiara: Dad is right, Kion. Magic is too dangerous to allow just anyone to have it. But you... imagine what you'll be capable of with such a power!
Kion: Maybe i already have it.
Kion walked out from the house, then pulled out his sword, put his left hand on the blade and closed his eyes breathing peacefully, he then started move his left hand towards the tip not letting the blade go. The rest were shocked, the blade started to cover itself in flames, when Kion opened his eyes he saw the whole blade on fire, he swiped the blade and wave of fire flied towards the bunch of trees behind him cutting them all. Everyone were impressed.
Bunga: UN-BUNGA-LIEVABLE!
Kiara: So that power is magic.
Simba walked up to his son.
Simba: Kion.
Kion turned his attention to his dad.
Simba: Do you think you are strong enough to control it?
Kion: I don't know, but Hermit might have something that will help control it.
