"So what's it gonna be huh? Love or war?"
(...'s POV)
Maybe it was the fact that he saved me. Or that we had spent six months running around the world together. Perhaps we had grown closer and gotten to know each other more than anyone else.
Or maybe...it was something else. Whatever it was. I didn't particularly appreciate where it took me.
The cold wet droplets dripped slowly as the harsh rain poured endlessly. My lungs were still on fire as each breath felt like lifting weights. My breathing hollowed and I stared at the unconscious bodies that lay around me. The cold rain had drenched my clothes and I couldn't tell if my body was cold or warm. Either way, I couldn't feel a single thing besides my pair of rusty lungs and pounding heart.
Eventually, my fingertips loosened and in a split second. Multiple faint red strings retracted back in an instant with many loud 'thud's as more bodies fell onto the cold concrete roof. It was hilarious of them to think the likes of these newbies. Had a chance to take me down. The strings disappeared as fast as they came into light.
"Come on America, make up your mind," the other person said. I titled my head and chops of wet hair gently fell due to gravity. Covering about 75% of my vision.
However, I could still piece together the stupid bastard in front of me. "Which stupid philosophy are you reading now, China?" I responded squinting my eyes to try and make out the best of what I could.
China sighed in annoyance and gracefully - ugh - flicked his long silky hair aside with one hand, whilst the other carried an oil-paper umbrella that was red.
Okay, it wasn't JUST red. It had a few golden patterns and designs of things I, myself. Do not know. Hey, at least he was dry.
"Honestly America, how long do you think you can keep being in denial," He said softly with pity loosely glossed over. I sighed, "As much as you want me to be in denial. I am not," I said giving him a playful smile.
China silently regarded me. "The agency can still forgive your mistake," He warned coldly. "Just give up their location and things can return to as they were," his hands started fidgeting around with a pair of black chopsticks, decorated in gold and red patterns.
My reaction was simply to laugh in disbelief. "Forgive? My mistake?" I spat in between laughs. "DOES NONE OF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE REALLY PROTECTING?!?!" My eyes darted towards the many hidden in the shadows, watching, and listing to me and China.
China scowled. "Enough of the lies America." The chopsticks in his hands quickly stopped spinning as under the slow motion, they no longer were chopsticks. I doubt that he'd actually eat stuff with those two thin ass stiletto weapons. "Choose."
"Let it be Love, or War?"

Author's Notes:
Yes I did rewrite this after I published it, and yes it is a lot shorter than the previous one. Mainly because I didn't want to spoil too much, all at once.
However, congratulations! You've stumbled onto my first fanfiction after a 6 month hiatus from writing!
I do hope you enjoy reading the rest of it though and I promise future chapters will be longer and filled with more words :D
Have a good rest of your day/evening/night! I'll see you in chapter one :))
