Ansel woke with a jolt as he heard something, squinting to his left where a wine barrel was wobbling where it stood. Ansel blinked tiredly, looking around at his surroundings feeling confused, when he looked down remembering where he was and why he was there as he spotted his large round stomach sticking out of his ruined shirt that was cut down the middle. Ansel splayed his hands over his stretched skin, rubbing his belly in a way that seemed to help the ache he was feeling from the heavy dragon egg weighing him down and from being stretched almost impossibly so.
"I really thought it was a dream," Ansel thought with a whimper, looking around at the dark stone walls all around him.
The great big commotion the knights had set off had did the trick, according to the demon's that raced past all throughout the night. They had somehow escaped from their cells and freed the other prisoners, along with a few slaves in captivity from the sounds of it, causing everything and everyone to go crazy. The demon knights had left the castle in drones trying to quell the panic started by the prisoners escape. Ansel could hear orders being shouted at the demon knights to capture the escaped prisoners and to punish those responsible, probably assuming someone had helped them escape. It sounded like they almost quelled the commotion until a riot broke out amongst the slaves, some using this chance to try and escape their imprisonment. There was no new word on the human knights to Ansel's distress, praying they weren't harmed or worse... Demon knights kept moving in and out of the castle, even a few captains and generals to command their troops but it still took them all night long. So long in fact that Ansel fell asleep without realizing which scared the boy, imagining being caught by King Decal himself but Ansel was still sitting against an empty wine barrel, the dragon egg still deeply seated in his stomach. He tried a few times to pull it back out, attempting to push the egg out by squeezing the sides of his belly, but nothing he did even budged the egg.
"What am I going to do?" Ansel kept asking himself but he hadn't found an answer. Nor did he find an answer to how he was going to stand up with his heavy belly... or how he was going to get out of the demon kingdom without being caught... or anything for that matter. At the moment, he had a more pressing questions on his mind that was making him cringe as he recognized the sounds going on by him on the other side of other wine barrels. "How can I get away from them without being found out?" Ansel asked himself as he listened to the grunts of a potbellied man and the pleading cries of a slave girl asking him to go faster as he... "Oh god! Couldn't you have found a closet or an empty room to do that," Ansel thought in horror as he heard them... indulging in each other's bodies. The brunette struggled to stand up again, trying to be quiet but he was beginning to think the only way he was ever going to stand up was if he got help from someone else. That would mean revealing himself to the demon's, and the demon king himself which scared Ansel down to the bone just imagining what he'd do to him, but he didn't see any other way until Ansel looked to his right spotting a crate.
The sun was out now and the stable doors were thrown wide so the alcove with all the wine barrels was better lit and Ansel could now see a stack of wooden crates he could use to pull himself up onto his feet. He still needed to be quiet so he didn't catch the attention of the intimate couple behind him so Ansel slowly rolled his body so he was on his hands and knees. Ansel held his breath before he let out a groan feeling the weight of the egg trying to pull him back down to the ground which was causing his back to arch almost painfully so. Ansel took a long moment to compose himself before he dared move, feeling a strong sense of anxiety as he imagined what would happen if he collapsed onto his swollen stomach. Would the egg crack inside him? Would his stomach explode on impact? Would he be stuck lying on his belly until someone found him? He slowly lifted one of his hands off the ground and immediately slammed it back down when he felt himself teeter. Instead, Ansel slowly slid his right hand forward before carefully sliding his left knee forward trying to keep his balance best he could. It hurt slightly as he dragged his knees against the stone floor, and he was pretty sure if he wasn't careful where he put his hand he'd cut himself on the long cracks, but he slowly made his way toward the crates listening to the woman crying out in pleasure.
