"Why are we buying me some gowns and dresses? I might be pregnant, in a sense, but I'm still a guy," Ansel said, glancing to see what Sir Chester was doing to his cloak while the other knights were preparing to go to the market.

Ansel and the knights had been traveling for days but they weren't heading straight back to the castle. In fact, they were roughly twenty miles south from the route they had taken. Sir Rodrick suggested we send word back to the king, perhaps by bird or asking a horsemen to deliver their letter since they would get there far faster than the company would, but Sir Hendrick vetoed against it. "What if a demon gets ahold of our letter and traces it back to us? The king knows that our journey is not easy and that it might take a long time to complete. Frankly, I'm honestly surprised we got the egg so soon," Sir Hendrick said as he tore up the letter Sir Rodrick had been writing and burnt it just to be sure. At the moment, they were all lounging in a rather classy inn where they would stay for exactly two days to replenish their supplies, keeping to their room unless it was absolutely necessary. Even then, they wore disguises and pretended to be merchants in case any demons were lurking about. At the moment, Ansel was standing in the middle of Sir Chester's room as Sir Stephen and Sir Hendrick were trying to figure out how to put a simple commoners dress on Ansel so they could all go out and get Ansel some women's clothes to wear as his disguise.

"Whether we dress you in girls clothes or make it seem like you're really fat, you'll stand out either way. What we're hoping to achieve is hiding in plain sight. It's safe to assume we are being hunted which means we need to stay on the down low and not get caught. However, that's exactly why we're going out today to get you some nice dress clothes to make you seem like a peasant girl I've knocked up and I plan to marry," Sir Hendrick said as he tried to help Ansel into one of the dresses they had bought at a previous village but, despite being made for pregnant women, it was too small and couldn't fit over Ansel's pregnant belly. "The demons will be looking for lurking shadows in the dark, hiding away from the light, which is exactly why we're going to stand out in the open to blend in with the crowds. There's some risk to this in case any of the demons recognize us on sight but if you were looking for someone on the run, would you be looking for hooded figures hiding in alleyways like a street rat or a flamboyant merchant and his pregnant mistress walking about the town?" Sir Hendrick pointed out while Sir Stephen attempted to put another dress on Ansel but it was also too small. "Maybe we should just get a skirt and tuck in a shirt," Sir Hendrick said with a huff, throwing another too small dress down on the ground when Sir Chester suddenly approached them, done with his little project.

Sir Chester tossed Ansel's cloak over his head and easily fastened it around the boy's waist, giving Ansel's belly a little kiss causing the boy to giggle with the ticklish feeling. Then Sir Chester took one of his nice white dress shirts that was much too big for Ansel and pulled that over the boy's head, gently tucking it into Ansel's make-shift skirt. The knights watched silently as Sir Chester picked up one of the dresses, a soft brown one, and tore the skirt in half so it looked more like a shirt. With a little bit of tinkering on Sir Chester's part, the corset of the dress became smaller and was only big enough to cover a girls chest, which was perfect for Ansel's condition who only had to slip his arms through the sleeves while the remainder of the dress fell over his belly and dangled off about a foot or two below. With the remaining cloth left over for the dress, Sir Chester ripped it up into smaller strips and stuffed it into the corset for make-shift breasts so Ansel looked more womanly.

"You never cease to impress me, my friend," Sir Hendrick said to Sir Chester who was admiring his work, Sir Stephen and Sir Rodrick trying not to laugh at Ansel's fake boobs behind them.

Ansel himself was flushed red, feeling both humiliated under Sir Stephen and Sir Rodrick's mockery, but also at the fact that he was wearing a dress of all things, impersonating a woman! "My life is going to be very strange while I'm with you, little dragon," Ansel thought as he rubbed his belly, gazing down at himself and he couldn't help but smile as he felt the dragon's warmth radiating through him.
