IMPORTANT!! Hi guys, I realized while looking back at the past two chapters that the times were mixed up. I thought i'd clear up the confusion. It has been a week since Louis left, and the cousins are now in town for two weeks instead of one. Hope that clears things up!! I also went back and edited the chapters so everything makes sense now! Okay that's all! Read on lovelies :)
Third person
Harry sighed as the screen on his phone faded to black, no longer showing his screensaver, a silly selfie of Louis and himself. It had been a week since Louis had disappeared, and Harry was beyond worried about the older boy. Everyday he'd check his phone multiple times, but Louis never called. Now, Harry's worry had morphed into anger. He tossed his phone on the bed and slumped downstairs, plopping down on the leather couch.
In the kitchen, Harry could hear his mum talking urgently on the phone. She had been home almost everyday this week, and Harry was shocked at how caring she'd been. He'd been in a bad mood, moping around the house like a piece of driftwood, and yet his mum never complained. She believed that Harry was still upset over Lissa, which was very far from the truth.
Going to school on Monday was one of the hardest things he'd ever done. He walked through the front door preparing to be pummeled by insults, but was instead greeted by the usual silence. All throughout the day, he kept his eyes peeled for any forms of violence, but nothing happened. After lunch, he noticed Lissa in the hall and motioned for her to join him in the janitors closet.
"Why haven't you said anything?" He asked, looking at her through his eyelashes. Lissa huffed indignantly, rolling her mascara-caked eyes.
"Harry, I may be looked at as a bitch, but I'm not that cold.thought about this a lot over the weekend and If nobody here knows you're gay, it's obvious that you don't want them to know. Besides, you don't deserve to be bullied. Nobody does. Sorry about lashing out on you. You're a good person..when you're not throwing up on my shoes that is." She finished, sending Harry a smirk.
To say he was suprised would be an understatement. He'd been terrified for no reason, and the one thing he wanted to do was celebrate with Louis, but of course the latter was ignoring him.
Harry angrily gritted his teeth and switched on the telly, focusing his eyes on a childish cartoon. His mother entered the room minutes later with a panicked look on her face. Harry paused the tv and sat up straighter, turning to face his mother.
"Mummy, what's wrong?" He asked. Anne was ghostly pale. She kept repeating the news she'd just received in her head.
"It's Gemma." She breathed, moving towards her son. "We need to go." Before Harry could open his mouth, his mother was dragging him towards the car and speeding off down the road.
Harry kept quiet, not wanting to distract his mother who was driving way over the legal speed limit. What was wrong with Gemma? His sister had been gone last night, so Harry had no idea where she would be. When the two pulled up to a hospital, the truth finally sunk in. Gemma had been hurt.
----------------------------Louis' pov
It all happened so fast. One second we were playing a childish game, the next, calling 911 and rushing to a hospital. Tye and Jep were in hysterics, rushing around the sterile hallways in a panicked frenzy. I'd told them to calm down multiple times now, playing the part of the mature mentor, but in all honesty I was just as scared.
This was Harry's sister that was laying in the room, unable to be saved. I'd been there to witness Gemma's incident, and not only that, but it was my cousin that caused it. The main firemen, mr. Daniels, explained that the fire was caused by an unsnubbed cigarette. Jep's unsnubbed cigarette.
