*Harry's pov
"Do you know what he took?"
"Yes." I sighed. "He took my diary."
Niall shook his head, scanning my room from my bed while I strenuously snatched up pieces of clothes that had been tossed all over my usually clean floor.
"Why didn't you tell Louis, haz?" He asked, pursing his lips. It was a simple question, yet my heart skipped a beat.
"Oh--I guess I didn't want to cause a scene." It was half true. The real reason was Louis' reaction. The last time I brought up a possible suspicion, Louis had shot it down. I could only imagine what he'd think if I blamed his best friend for murdering somebody.
"I still can't believe you think it's Zayn though." Like everyone else, Niall and the mysterious boy had never really bonded. Their relationship wasn't strong. "He seemed like an okay guy."
"He threatened me." I said blatantly, pointing to the red marker on my mirror. Niall shrugged.
"Z.T.K. could mean anything though."
I let the topic go, not feeling in the mood to argue with my friend, especially when he was on the enemies side.
Though he was getting better, Niall was still hung up over Liam's death. He was a shell of his old self, less bubbly and more sarcastic. I'd tried coaxing him to open up more, but his mouth stayed shut.
"I should get going." He sighed after several moments of awkward silence. "My brother has a game."
"Okay." I nodded, following him out the door, holding my hands behind my back. It was a nervous habit that i'd picked up over the years. "Are you going to my graduation party?" Niall looked at me guilty, but eventually sighed.
"I wouldn't miss it." With that he pulled me into a tight hug and pecked my cheek. "Don't worry hazza, it'll be alright."
"Thanks Niall." I said, waving goodbye. The sad part was, I didn't know if everything would be alright.
Louis (friday)
"It's times like this when I really miss Liam." I groaned, looking at the outfit that Lottie had picked out for me. Sure it was hot, but it wasn't me. She'd picked out a red flannel, saying it looked cool, and a pair of skinny jeans.
"Shut up Louis. You look good. I don't know where you're going, but whoever you're trying to impress is going to love you."
"Thanks lotts." I said, perhaps a bit sarcastically. "But I still don't like it." She shook her head and left my room, muttering about how boys have no fashion sense what so ever.
Harry's party was tonight, but instead of excited I found myself nervous and on edge. Nervous because it was Harry, and on edge because Tye was still on the loose. He was a lot smarter than I gave him credit for.
The station had called me yesterday, asking if anything suspicious had happened within the last week, but I reported back with a no. "It's actually been pretty quiet." I'd said, frowning.
If there was any place Tye could make a move, a party would be it. Especially a party of this magnitude. Harry told me disdainfully how many people would be attending, and the numbers were staggering. I vowed to stay next to him all night, not only for his pleasure, but also for his safety.
