After school was over Ashton said goodbye to Zack and Willow before he grabbed his things and walked out to the school parking lot where he was supposed to meet Connor so they could go over to his place. As Ashton walked out he saw Connor standing next to his friends talking.
"Connor" Ashton called out, making Connor and his friends look at him before Connor turned back around to them and said bye before moving towards Ashton.
"Are you ready to go?" Connor asked, making Ashton nod.
The two of them started moving towards Ashton's car before they got in and drove out of the school parking lot. Ashton continued driving while Connor was guiding him to his house.
"What should we focus on today?"Connor said before writing something on his phone before looking up towards Ashton.
"Maybe the presentation. We could get some slides done, so we don't have to do everything at the same time" Ashton answered before he turned down on a gravel road.
He continued driving for a couple minutes before Connor said that he should turn up the road on the right where he and his family lived. Ashton parked the car and both of them stepped out of the car and started moving up towards the front door. Connor opened the door and let Ashton walk in before him before he closed the door after them.
"Let me show you around. My mom is probably in the kitchen baking" Connor said as he started to show Ashton around the house, when he had shown him around downstairs before the two of them walked into the kitchen where Connor's mom was just putting cookies in the oven.
"Hi Conny," his mom said when she saw Connor and Ashton standing in the doorway. "Who's your friend?"
"Mom, this is Ashton. We are going on a project together, didn't I tell you the other day?" Connor said before handing a cookie from the counter and handed it to Ashton before taking one for himself.
"Sorry honey, I forgot." His mom replied with a small smile on her lips. "I'm Marie. It's so nice to meet you Ashton, are you planning to stay for dinner?"
"No, I wouldn't want to be a bother" Ashton said with a small smile before he was interrupted by Marie.
"You wouldn't be a bother honey. Please stay, I would love to get to know you more" Marie exclaimed with a big grin.
"Yeah, It would help our project some" Connor spoke with a nod.
"Okay then, I would love to stay for dinner" Ashton answered looking at the two of them with a smile on his lips.
"Are you allergic to something or are you a vegan or vegetarian or something else?" Marie questioned because she didn't want to make something that Ashton couldn't eat.
"I'm allergic to strawberries, shrimp and almonds. Other than that I can eat almost everything" Ashton replied.
"Okay, that's great" Marie said before taking out some meat from the fridge and the two boys turned around to walk out of the kitchen to Connor's room. "Oh, Conny. Ryder is also coming for dinner."
Connor turned around and looked at his mother with a big smile on his face. "That's good, I haven't seen him for a couple weeks"
They started walking up the stairs to Connor's room. His room was the last room down the hallway on the right. Connor closed the door after them while Ashton was looking around the room. Connor's room was big. He had a walking closet and his own bathroom.
"My parents recently renovated the house, and my mom loves decorating so she decided on most of the things in this room." Connor said with a laugh while putting his backpack next to his desk that was next to the door in the corner on the left side.
Connor's room was painted a dark blue color. His bed was in a corner furthest away from the door and next to it was his skiing equipment. In front of his bed he had a couch and a TV on the wall and a big rug in the middle of the room. He also had a baseball bat next to his bed.
"What's that?" Ashton asked as he walked up to a bookshelf that he had in the area between the closet and bathroom. Ashton looked at the figure, it was gray and had a big eye in the middle of its face making it look like a robot.
"Oh that, it's a robot I got from Will when I turned 15. It's a collectible." Connor answered when he saw what Ashton was looking at. "We can sit on the couch to work on the project"
Ashton took a seat next to Connor on the couch before both of them opened their computers and started working on their project for a couple hours. They were in the middle of a discussion about their presentation when Connor's mom yelled for them that the food was ready. The two of them walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where Ryder was sitting in front of his mother at the dinner table.
"Where's dad and Will?" Connor asked as he took a seat next to his mother, making Ashton sit next to Ryder who put his arm on the back of Ashton's chair after he had sat down.
"Your dad had an important meeting and your brother is with some of his friends" Their mom answered. "How is your project going?"
Ashton leaned back on his chair and listened when Connor talked about their project to his mother but when he leaned back he felt Ryder's arm on his back. But what made him more confused is that he felt small shocks when they were touching.
"He's going to talk about this project you guys are doing forever." Ryder whispered into Ashton's ear making him shiver and turn his head a little to the side so he could see Ryder.
"It's an interesting project" Ashton whispered back, turning his head to look at him.
"It's about getting to know each other. Do we have to do a project to get to know each other?" Ryder asked quietly.
"No. It just depends how you want to get to know me" Ashton answered with a teasing smile.
