The two of them continued to talk for a while so it was in the middle of the night when they went to bed. Ryder was sleeping in the guest room because he wanted to give Ashton some time to think about everything they talked about.
After the two of them went to bed Ashton laid awake in bed thinking about everything that Ryder told him. He let out a sigh before sitting up in bed and leaned down the side of his bed to bring his computer up in bed with him. Ashton opened the computer and started searching about werewolves soulmates because Ryder didn't say much about the subject and that meant that he had to find out for himself. Well he knew that he couldn't entirely trust the internet because Ryder and the other werewolves probably had books about all these things that are more reliable but he just had to know.
"Wolves that soulmates very seriously, as it is hard to find your soulmate and it's very lucky if you do" Ashton mumbled to himself as he read from the page.
"It's believed that a werewolf just has one true mate for a lifetime. They are like a wolf in that sense because a wolf is regarded as the most loyal animal to their mates." Ashton continued reading.
Ashton continued reading for a moment before he heard some knocks on his door making him look up from the computer and see Ryder leaning on the doorframe looking at him with a soft smile.
"What are you doing?" Ryder asked as he moved further into the room so he was standing next to the bed.
"Well... I'm looking up something about soulmates" Ashton answered truthfully. "I know you guys probably have books about these things that are more reliable but I was curious and you didn't say much about it."
"Yeah, we have books about it at home and in the packhouse. We learn about mates at a very young age and it's something that is very important to most wolves" Ryder said as he sat down on the edge of the bed turned Ashton's way.
Ashton closed his computer and put it back down on the floor and gave Ryder his attention.
"If you want I can probably borrow some books about werewolves from home. There is so much stuff that I can't even tell you, it's probably best if you read about it yourself and ask me any questions you have" Ryder said, making Ashton smile before he moved down the bed so he was laying under the covers.
"Stay?" Ashton asked, petting the bed next to him.
Ryder chuckled before getting in the bed next to Ashton. He got comfortable before he turned off the lamp on the nightstand. Ashton turned over so he had his back to Ryder making Ryder also turn on the side but so he could pull Ashton's body to his chest and have his arm around his waist.
"Night" Ryder whispered, kissing Ashton's neck lightly before burrowing his head in his neck making Ashton shiver slightly.
