chapter 6 - the field trip

i couldnt believe i convince brandon to join animal club, but lily in the other hand was not happy "your joking right" lily said brandon smirked "whats so bad joining i mean it is a club and anyone can join" brandon said brandon was trying to get lily on her nerves "or maybe this club is not meant for you" lily said "guys can we not fight" claire said "n- no jj- judge" james said "james is right and we cannot fight like this" john said  "this is a club, remember were trying to get a good reputation here" sai said lily started thinking no matter how much she hated brandon she just had to let him join "fine i guess. but you gotta get that paper sign by a parent" lily said "i already did and that means i get to go to that field trip to" brandon said brandon smirked again lily just rolled her eyes "whatever" lily said oh boy this may not be easy as i thought. the next day morning we had our field trip, we were waiting in line to get in the bus but we had to wait for brandon he was a little late, i did told lily i convince brandon to join animal club. "i cant believe he join why james out of all the kids you had to choose him he literally beated you up everyday how is this even possible" lily said "n- no j- judge" james said "i mean james has a point" claire said "anyone can join animal club especially the kids that go through things like brandon" sai said "and you were one to lily, so whats the problem" john said lily got surprised and calm at the same time she hates it when people are right then her, sometimes she could be a little stubborn. lily rolled her eyes but brandon finally came "alright lets get this party started" brandon said "your late, and if your late again theres a chance ill kick you out of the club" lily said brandon rolled his eyes, we got into the bus we were on our way to the zoo i sat next to john lily and claire were in the right side of us sai was in back of us and brandon was in the front seat of lily and claire. john was showing me a magic trick with his cards i picked a card then "is this your card" john said "yy- yes" james said "see magic is real" john said "ma- magic rr- real" james said "dont listen to him hes still a newbie" lily said "hey" john said we all laughed, i looked at brandon he looked very calm and quite, i ask him something "br- brandon d- do yo- you bel- believe i- in ma- magic" james said brandon smiled but then "magic is just a fairytale" brandon said brandon just turn around, lily rolled her eyes "dont listen to him hes just a psychopath who doesnt have feelings" lily said brandon heard that but didnt say anything he looked a little sad he tried to hid his emotions. after, we got to the zoo we were gonna do a presentation but thats for later, for now we were hanging out with the animals the best part is we get to touch the animals because we were in the animal club community. a zookeeper was showing us a koala "this koala has lived for 10 years hes kinda old but still healthy" zookeeper said "th- thats a- lot of ye- years" james said "yes it is would you like to hold it" zookeeper said "go on james hold it" lily said lily smiled, but i hold the koala it looked at me he touch my face he felt like he knew what was gonna happen to me soon. i smiled at the koala i got a little excited everyone smiled at me and brandon, he just looked at me he slowly started to smile after all that we went to go see some birds. we were able to touch them, a bird landed on my shoulder "pr- pretty bi- bird" james said "yea james they look so pretty" sai said after, we kept looking at the birds while brandon was sitting alone on a bench he hasnt showed any emotions every time when we looked at animals he will just be sitting down alone but, i was gonna change that. i walked up to him sat next to him, "what do you want james, go have fun you deserve it" brandon said "n- not wi- with- out y- you w- ith y- you" james said "you know.. out of all the kids i think your the only one that could understand us.." brandon said "i i kn- know y- you ha- had a ha- hard ti- time b- but i- im r- right he- here r- ight he- here" james said i touched my chest then to his brandon had no words he realized how different i am but a good different he realized that im the only one that could help him so he finally open up "my parents.. they.. died in a car accident when i was just a little boy.. i was in so many foster homes hurt.. abused.. bullied.. then i got adopted by two lovely moms.. but after all that i just use to hurt people to make me feel better not to feel pain  so yea i know why people call me a psychopath but.. you.. you never gave up on us.. me.. thats.. one thing i liked about you.. just dont wore it out." brandon said i smiled, brandon slowly smiled he was finally opening up he started to feel things, feel things he never felt before. after, he stopped sitting down in benches all alone anymore. he hanged out with us looking at animals, before our presentation the last thing we went was to a aquarium, we were looking at sea animals but lily was on the right side looking at sea animals alone while we were on the left side looking at the sea animals. i looked at lily then i looked at brandon, brandon looked at me i looked at lily again and look back at brandon, brandon had a figure "do i have to" brandon said i smiled he rolled his eyes with a complaining face, after he walked up to lily "i guess your enjoying yourself, surprisingly you havent hurt anyone yet" lily said "im not here to fight, i just wanna say.. sorry." brandon said lily was so surprised "sorry for what." lily said "for being a jerk i should've take animal club seriously i didnt know it was that important to you" brandon said "well it is, i just dont understand why would you join you hate clubs" lily said "james happen" brandon said "id figured" lily said "but the thing is he understands people like me like us" brandon said "so you understand him to." lily said "yes i do.. so.. does that mean.. we can start over" brandon said lily rolled her eyes but smiled "alright" lily said lily and brandon were starting to get along i saw and smiled. after, it was time for presentation we were back stage people were looking, lily went up and started the presentation "hi im lily walker im the leader for animal club from darson high school and our community is to help animals and of course to help others" lily said people giggled then lily looked at me "and most importantly james who has helped more than us, james would you like to come here and say something" lily said i went up stage, lily gave me the microphone "h- hi i- im j- james i i lo- love an- ani- mals i i ca- care an- ani- mals i- im di- different b- but an- animals he- help  un- under- stand be- better th- thanks l- lily f- for he- helping m- me und- understand an- animals" james said everyone clapped lilys friends even brandon especially lily. after all that we went to claires house we had a little after party for succeeding the presentation for animal club we were all in the living room sitting in a circle eating snacks talking and laughing, then i had a idea "ge- get t- to kn- know ea- each o- other" james said "thats a great a idea james sai you start" john said "of course it has to be me first" sai said we all giggled, but sai started to open up "i know i may be slow in things but im really good in biology and i hope one day ill be a biology teacher because i love nature" sai said "g- good j- job sa- sai" james said sai smiled "john" sai said "you got me, but.. i hope one day ill become a magician" john said "ill say" lily said we giggled "al- always fo- follow y- your dr- dreams j- john" james said john smiled "claire" john said "i really love animals sometimes i break down but animals is the only one thing that makes me happy makes me feel better.. anyways, james" claire said "i i ca- care f- for o- others i i und- understand o- others" james said everyone smiled at me "li- lilys li- lilys t- turn" james said lily stood calm she kept thinking then "i use to push people away because my parents got separated a long time ago.. i use to think nothing last forever i use to hate this world so much but someone showed me the bright side of this world that there is light out there" lily said lily looked at me and smiled i smiled back "brandon" lily said brandon looked at everyone and stood quite he didnt know to what to say but he said something he never thought he would say "i know a lot of people know that ive hurt people but then.. i go out and hurt myself i ended up in the hospital so many times that i didnt make a big deal out of it i thought thats how you get rid of pain." brandon said "brandon you dont have to-" lily said "no, its okay i thought hurting others would make me feel better i thought hurting myself would make me feel better but it just got worst.. yea ive messed up so many times.. but.. someone also taught me to never give up that were just teens and were barely starting our chapter" brandon said "ne- never gi- give u- up br- brandon" james said everyone stood quite until "ok so who wants to watch a movie" claire said lilys friends and i watched a movie while brandon and lily were cleaning up plates from the snacks that we ate,  "hey.. um. im sorry that you had to go through those things" lily said "its okay. and im sorry about your parents." brandon said "i just dont understand out of every kid from our school you would hurt yourself  like that" lily said "i was in a bad place yea i got help and everything but nothing helped i was useless .. but.. james he taught me a lot of things he understands me.. us." brandon said "james can be something." lily said "but a great friend to talk to" brandon said "so.. friends" lily said "friends" brandon said brandon and lily smiled, they finally got to know each other and became great friends and got a long for better.
