"Asshole- he thinks he can smack my ass whenever he wants? He can go to hell. Jerkface." Steve was in the laundry room angrily throwing all of his (and Eddie's) dirty laundry into the washer while mumbling incoherent sentences. He knows that's not what he's actually mad about. He's letting all of his emotions bubble up again and he took it out on Eddie. But it's not like they talk about those things- the only time they do is when one of them gets upset.
Which now that he thinks about it- isn't exactly what you'd call a healthy relationship.
"I'm a slut."
He stopped moving and just stood there, thinking to himself. All this time the two had been spending their time together, they were always locked away in a room. They've never even gone out on a date. He's honestly surprised at how long he waited to have sex with him.
"Fuck fuck fuck. Goddamnit." He threw the rest of the clothes in and started it, grabbing the load he did before out of the dryer and taking it in the living room to fold. Steve knows Eddie cares about him, they're just both kind of bad at showing it.
For christ sakes Steve's only been in one realish relationship and it didn't exactly turn out great. He doesn't really know how to act in a relationship now that he thinks about it. He remembers the first parts of when he dated Nancy- when they were happy and didn't care about anything else. But people grow up, he has to care about things now, especially if he wants this to last.
And he does.
"Fucking hell." He was so confused at how much he cared for the man, it was almost frustrating. He pisses him off almost daily, teases him without even trying, and takes up almost every hour of his days. But then again, he couldn't really complain about any of those things. At the end of the day Eddie will always make sure Steve's smiling, that he's told him he loves him, and that he feels safe. And those will always overrule anything else.
He walked angrily to his room and put his folded clothes away, finally having time to put his boxers and pants in the dresser that hasn't been used in a month. He hung up his shirts and stared at Eddie's for a second, before deciding to hang them up with his in the closet.
I mean, Robin did say we basically live together. He might as well have some clothes here that aren't in a bag. He smiled at Eddie's raggy t-shirts hanging up next to his clothes and rolled his eyes to himself going over to see what else he had in the bag.
He had a little less than an hour before he had to pick Robin up and- what the hell?
In the mix of t-shirts and ripped jeans, Steve found his hand touching round, warm metal. Oh my god oh my god oh my god. He grabbed the thing carefully and lifted it up, bracing himself for anything that could kill him. But they didn't. Because while they could come in handy for killing someone, Steve was almost ninety-nine percent sure that's not why Eddie brought them.
The pair of handcuffs dangled from his hand and he just stared at them in curiosity, wondering what the hell gave Eddie the idea to bring them. Stay on track, this isn't important right now.
He pushed them away from his mind and put them back in the bag, pondering the thought of putting the rest of his clothes up with his own. He doesn't want Eddie to feel like he has to stay here, because of course he doesn't. But the thought of waking up to him every morning does something to Steve's heart.
He did however put the man's toothbrush in the bathroom, along with the cologne, nail polish, hair brush, and ponytails. He's dating a girl. He is letting a girl fuck him-
How did this happen and he not know?
He giggled (in a manly way of course) at the thought of his boyfriend's hair up in a bun and black nail polish painted on. That's fucking adorable. He looked down at the clock on the table beside his bed and through Eddie's bag down, throwing the shorts off and hopping into a pair of jeans on his way out of the door.
