1 Month Later

"Eddie Munson"

The principle called his name and he walked across the stage, being stopped by Ms. O'Donnell who hugged him and gave him a congratulations, telling how proud she was of how much he has grown. Steve would of sworn Eddie was about to cry, and when he didn't flip the principle off, he knew how proud Eddie was of himself. Of course, everyone else was crying. Steve definitely was- although that had started before they even got to the school. He had to say goodbye to both Robin and Eddie when he dropped them off at the school and his heart felt like it was being crushed in someone's fist.

Everyone was walking out of the gym now and Robin ran into Steve's arms, the two of them sobbing. "I'm- so proud of you." She started crying harder and his arms squeezed her tighter, "you're my best friend, you know that right? I'll always be here for you Rob."

"We still work together Dingus and I'm just going to the community college, it's not like I'm actually leaving." Which was true, Robin decided to go to the community college because she didn't think she could actually leave all of her friends, and she didn't feel the need to get away from Hawkins, no one of course complaining about the fact.

"Alright Buckley it's my turn."

Steve's head whipped to his boyfriend and he jumped at him, wrapping his arms around his neck. "Are you proud of me?" It was a whisper into Steve's neck, but he couldn't help the tears that started to build up. "I've never been more proud of anyone in my entire life Munson."

Eddie grabbed his face and smashed their lips together, a tear falling down his face as he kissed the love of his life.

"God get a room!"

"You guys that is so gross!"

"Not in front of the kids!"

Eddie growled and Steve just laughed, pulling away only to kiss him one last time and turning around. "Eddie where's your uncle?" He looked around for him but couldn't seem to find the man. "I don't know, I know he's here he said he would be."

A tap on Eddie's shoulder answered his question when he turned around to find the man standing there holding a gift. "Sorry kid I had to go out to the truck to get this." HIs brows furrowed and he took the small box from his uncle's hand. "It uh, it was your moms. She kinda left it to me to give to you when you got older."

Steve wrapped his arm around Eddies waist and rubbed his back, laying his head on his shoulder. "That's really sweet." Eddie felt almost frozen in his spot. He hasn't spoken about his mom since she died, nevertheless has he gotten a gift from her.

He opened the box slowly to find two silver chains, one with a skull and the other with key that fit into the middle of said skull. "She bought them when she first started dating your dad. The skull was his because she knew how uptight he was about jewelry and she wore the key. Of course she took it back when he went to jail, but she wanted you to have it because she loved your father. No matter how much of a dumbass he was. She wanted you to share it with someone you loved like that."

Wayne's eyes shifted to Steve for a short second and the man rubbed his neck, not used to being in many social situations. Eddie closed the box softly and stepped towards his uncle, wrapping his arms around him. "Thank you. You're the closest thing I've got to a father, but I wouldn't trade you for the god damn world." Wayne just pat his back softly before relaxing into it and hugging him back, squeezing the man tightly. "You're a great kid. I was lucky to have you."

Steve could tell his boyfriend was trying not to cry as he stood there, and he just smiled at the two men. Dustin brushed past Steve and joined into the hug, patting Eddie on the back and telling him he did a great job and how much he's going to miss him. Eddie smiled down at the kid and messed with his hair, "don't worry Henderson, we won't be that far away."

Steve rolled his eyes, this dumbass.  "We? What do you mean we?"

Eddie pulled away and met Steve's glare. "You weren't supposed to tell them yet." He walked over to his boyfriend and Eddie wrapped his arm around Steve's waist. "Too late now. We're actually moving into an apartment- that just happens to be like a few blocks down from the school."

Three 'whats' rang out and Robin laughed knowing they'd react this way.

"You two are moving in together?" Dustin, Lucas, and Mike all looked at each other with shock covering their faces.

Eddie looked down at Steve, "uhm, yeah?"

"We did tell you we were dating right?" Steve looked up at Eddie, "we did tell them right?" Eddie nodded his head, "yeah I remember it." Mike shook his head in disbelief, "yeah we know but, you guys have been dating for like- two months. What if you get tired of each other?"

A laugh left Steve's mouth, "don't worry. I'm already tired of him and we haven't even moved in yet."  A hand came down on his ass and he jumped, "hey!"

"I think what he meant to say was, we'll be fine. And we'll still see you guys and want to hangout, but we're adults that are sleeping in each other's beds every night. The only difference now is that it'd be at our own place."

"And I don't have to be constantly worried about someone walking in on us." He mumbled it, but of course Eddie heard it and rubbed circles with his thumb on Steve's butt. "You know if you locked the damn door that never would've been an issue."

"Shut up Munson."

"Make me."

"You irritate me."

"Oh yeah you guys are going to love living together." Wayne pat Eddie and Steve on the shoulder and all of them walked out of the building.

The kids all shuffled into Steve's car with Robin and Eddie turned to Steve. "You go ahead and ride with your uncle, we'll meet you back at the house okay?"

"Yeah just give me one second." Eddie opened the small box and pulled out the silver chain with the key on it, unclasping it and reaching around Steve, closing it and letting it lay there on his neck. Eddie laid their heads together and kissed his forehead, "I love you, Steve Harrington."

Steve wrapped his arms gently around the man's neck, "I love you Eddie Munson."
