They all head out to lunch and talk.
A month passes by and Lexi still hasn't told everybody about her being pregnant
A- when are we gonna tell everybody?
Lr- soon, I promise
A- I meant about is getting married
Lr- we'll tell them about that when we tell people I'm pregnant
A- all of our friends already know we're getting married cause they were in on the proposal
Lr- I know and I know we still have to tell them I'm pregnant
A- I thought we were pregnant
Lr- do you really want to do this right now? It's Friday at 7 in the morning
A- your the one who decided to wake up this early
Lr- I didn't, the baby woke me up this early pushing on my bladder and literally everything else it pushes on
A- should we really call the baby it
Lr- I'll call the baby whatever I want to right now because he or she is really getting on my nerves
Lexi runs into the bathroom and starts puking
A- yeah
Lr- I don't really know if I can make it to school today
A- what why?
Lr- today just isn't a good day at all, I can tell
A- how?
Lr- well I woke up puking so that's not the best way to start your day
A- but what if things turn around?
Lr- then I'll come to school. I just won't go now since I'm puking a lot
A- I spoke to your last teacher yesterday and she told me that all of your teachers are starting to get worried about you
Lr- starting?
A- their worried about you lex
Lr- Andrew
A- and so am I
Lr- why?
A- you need to go back to school
Lr- yeah and I will, but first we need to address this whole pregnancy thing
A- well you said you don't want to get an abortion
Lr- I don't, I'm not killing the baby
A- but what if your life depended on it
Lr- it doesn't
A- but what if it did
Lr- I'm not killing the baby andrew
A- ok
Lr- what would you do if you were me?
A- I'd tell everybody
Lr- then that's what we'll do
A- today
Lr- fine
A- great, now go get ready
Lr- I never said at school
A- so your gonna skip school again
Lr- I'm not skipping if I'm sick
A- but your not
Lr- I'm throwing up, that counts as sick
A- ok, I'll just go and make sure mase is ready
Andrew goes and checks on Maisie in her room. He opens the door and sees Maisie's still asleep
A- mase, time to get ready. Maisie! MAISIE! Maisie wake up!
Lexi runs into the room
Lr- what's going on?
A- she's not waking up
Lexi runs over to the bed and starts shaking Maisie
Lr- Maisie! Wake up!
Maisie opens her eyes but doesn't respond
Lr- call 9-1-1
Andrew calls 9-1-1
Op- 9-1-1 what's your emergency?
A- my fiancée's sister won't wake up
Op- is she sleeping?
A- she opened her eyes but she isn't talking and she won't move
Op- there's somebody on their way
A- ok
Op- now just stay on the phone
Lr- Maisie ?!
The firefighters get there first and rush upstairs into Maisie's room
Ff- what's going on?
Lr- why don't you tell me?
Lexi says while bursting into tears
A- she won't wake up!
The firefighters put her on a stretcher and take her to the hospital. Lexi roses in the ambulance with her and Andrew drives to the hospital and meets up with Lexi
Lr- their taking her to some x-ray room lr something to try and see what's going on
Lexi starts crying again and Andrew hugs her
Lr- why aren't you crying?
A- because if I do I won't stop and we can't have that right now
Lr- you don't need to be strong baby, you can just let it all out
They both sit down and Andrew lies his head down on Lexi's shoulder and starts breaking down. Lexi pets his head
Lr- it's ok, it's alright. Everything's going to be ok
Lexi talks in a calm and slow voice
A doctor comes out
D- whose here for Maisie Rivera
Lexi raises her hand because Andrew fell asleep on her
Lr- can you say whatever your going to say in a whisper, I don't want him to wake up yet
D- ok. Their still running tests on her to find out what's wrong
Lr- has she woken up yet?
D- no
Lr- that's a bad sign isn't it
D- we're doing everything we can to help your sister
Lr- thanks
The doctor leaves
And Andrew wakes up
A- what?
Lr- nothing babe, just go back to sleep
The doctor comes back
D- your sisters awake
Andrew jumps up
Lr- babe?
A- what? Sorry
Lr- what's going on
A- just had a bad dream, that's all
Lr- well Maisie's up
D- only blood related can go back
Lr- did it count that's he's my fiancé and I need him to go back with me
D- no
Lr- great, thanks for the help
A- it's fine, I'll just sit out here
Lr- ok
D- actually sir, due to shortages, you cant wait in here
Lr- what? No that's total bull
D- I'm sorry
Lexi pulls Andrew's hand as she walks back
D- you can't go back there
A- I don't really have a choice
Lexi keeps walking until they reach Maisie's room
Lr- hey mase
Andrew sees something suspicious beside the IV
A- what is that?
Andrew points to a bottle of alcohol
Lr- that's not supposed to be there
A- I didn't think so
The doctor runs in
D- you guys really shouldn't be here
Lr- are you giving my sister alcohol
D- it's helping her
Lr- yeah helping her get sicker
D- there's something in her system that needs to get out
Lr- well why can't you just do surgery instead of giving her alcohol poisoning
D- we need parent permission
Lr- I basically am her parent and I'm saying do what's best for her. Now I don't really agree with you motives here so I want another doctor for her
D- what?
Lr- I want another doctor now!
A doctor walks by and hears her
Ad- I can be your doctor
Lr- are you gonna kick my fiancé out and give my 14 year old sister alcohol?
Ad- no
Lr- then you hired. And you, whatever your name is, is fired
D- fine
The doctor storms out while the other doctor comes in
D- what's going on?
Lr- I don't know
D- I'll take her for some tests to see what's going on because there's nothing here on her chart
Lr- there's nothing?
D- yup
Lr- ok, take her I guess. But you better not be experimenting on her or something
D- I promise, I won't
Maisie wakes up
M- Lexi? Andrew?
A- hey
Lr- hi Maisie
M- what's going on? Where am I?
Lr- your going home
M- from where?
Lr- we'll explain on the way
M- am I going to school?
A- no, your going home
