Day One~

it was the first day of my senior year, 1986. My younger brother, Dustin, first day of highschool. I was dreading it.. considering i didn't really fit in. at that- i only had one friend... Eddie Munson. Me and Eddie had been friends since my junior year. when he was a senior.. for the first time. I had always had feelings for him. I just didn't know if he felt the same. so here i was, at hawkins high school, standing side by side with my little brother at the entrance...

Y/N's POV:
i walked into the school, not amused by the school in the slightest bit, considering i had been here for four years. Meanwhile Dustin looked as if he was walking on water. he was amazed by every small thing at the school. I chuckled and rolled my eyes, "don't get to excited, it's not as good as it looks" just as dustin was about to reply- you heard, "y/n henderson!!! sweetheart!" my attitude immediately vanished as i turnt around to see the one and only, Eddie Munson. or as how i call him- Ed's. i smiled and ran to eddie, dustin not far behind me. "Ed's!!" i said as i hugged him tightly. "uh, y/n..." dustin said, i groaned and pulled off of eddie. "Ed's this is my brother, Dustin." Dustin was smiling like none other "hello, i've heard all about you!" i turned my head, hoping eddie didn't see how red i was. eddie just chuckled, "is that so? well it's a pleasure to meet you, dustin." he said glancing at me slightly. "dustin, who do you have for first period?" i said trying to switch the subject up. "uh let me check" dustin said grabbing his bookbag off of his back . I looked back at Eddie only to see him staring at me already , i held eye contact as the tension rises between us. "oh mr.lewis!!" dustin said as i broke off eye contact- turning my attention back to my little brother "oh nice! i had him during my freshman year as well. do you know where to go?" dustin slightly laughed at my comment "of course , i'm not a baby anymore y/n" he said quickly turning around walking off.
well he got an attitude quickly. i said in my head. "y/n, how about we ditch first period?"
eddie said quietly, so no snitches would hear and catch on. "for what mr.munson" i said as i started touching his hair, twirling one strand around my finger. "to hangout sweetheart." i blushed at his comment. i thought about it, then finally nodded my head. "great" eddie said, grabbing my hand leading me back outside to his van. he walked me all the way to the passenger side and opened the door for me "m'lady" he said, bowing while staring at me "thank you good sir" you snickered hopping into his van. he shut the door behind you and walked to the drivers side, getting in. "so where to princess? "hmmm i say family video!! maybe we could get a movie for tonight." i said clapping my hands together happily. i had completely changed moods . "tonight? my place like the usual?" eddie said cranking the car up "of course." "alright then, let's get going sweetheart" eddie had always called me princess,sweetheart, love, pretty girl. stuff like that, and i never really thought anything of it. i mean he was my bestfriend. that's it.

TIME SKIP TO WHEN THEY ARRIVED.
Eddie got out the car and i went to go open my door- when i almost had it completely open, eddie rushed to the passenger side and shut the door in my face "nuh-uh sweetheart. that's my job." he said opening the door for me. i rolled my eyes and hopped out, him shutting the door behind me. i walked up to the family video
door and opened it, walking in only
to see my ex... Steve Harrington. He was my brothers bestfriend that recently graduated . We broke up because of how controlling he was with me. "Y/n.. is that you?" steve said as Eddie and I walked into the small store. "yeah." i said. Eddie slowly grabbed my hand and held it, him and steve had never gotten along. Steve got jealous of Eddie while we where dating, because me and Eddie have always been very close. "Well well well, i see you've taken a step down from me, with the freak" steve said - nudging his head towards eddie. I felt Eddie tense up so i squeezed his hand to help keep
him from jumping at steve right then and there. "whatever steve, he's my bestfriend for a matter of fact. we're just here to get a movie"
i snarled pulling eddie to the horror
movie section. "god i hate him." "i know i do too. but let's just get the movie and get out
of here." i ran my finger through all the variety's of horror movies and landed on scream. "ooo!! scream" i said grabbing the movie off of the shelf holding it up at eddie. He slowly began smiling "are you sure it isn't to scary for you?" he said taking the movie from
me. "of course not, let's get this one and maybe run by the gas station to get some snacks on the way home?" i said with puppy dog eyes looking up at eddie. he grinned "whatever you want princess, let's get out of here" we walked
over to the counter and eddie slammed the movie down. steve walked over and looked at the movie "ah of course. my favorite"
he said looking at me. "harrington trust me, i'm not watching scream because you liked it. the world doesn't revolve around you okay?" steve rolled his eyes "ten bucks." i reached into
my pocket for cash but eddie stopped me "i got it sweetheart." he said loud enough for steve to hear. he pulled out a crumbled ten dollar bill from his jacket pocket and slammed it on the counter and snatched the movie. "tooda-loo stevie" eddie said while laughing , grabbing my hand as we began walking towards the door. i began laughing as i felt steve's eye's quite practically burning into the back on my head.
"jesus eddie, i think i saw his eyes watering when you said that" i said laughing. Eddie laughed as he opened the passenger door "he started it princess" he said as he shut my door.
