We all walked over to the gate. I nodded as i went up first- I flipped back on the mattress and quickly moved off. I watched as Dustin and Eddie argued over who would go next- and after a bit- Eddie moved up the rope and fell onto the mattress. "alright! let's go dustie!" i yelled. Dustin nodded and got about halfway up the rope, then- he stopped- looking at the door of eddie's bedroom in the upside down. "Dustin hurry up man let's go!" Eddie yelled. Dustin looked back at us- and dropped off the rope. He then grabbed his sword- and sliced it. "DUSTIN NO! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?" I screamed, The rope fell down onto our side. I caught it with both hands and looked up at dustin with tears in my eyes. "no dustin come on what are you doing?" I asked- as a tear ran down my cheek. "buying time." dustin smiled, as he walked out of our view. Me and Eddie both began screaming his name, And i began sobbing. "DUSTIN COME BACK." i yelled. I dropped to my knees and continued sobbing. Eddie slowly began picking me up. "sweetheart, stay here. i'm going to get him." he said- pulling me into his chest- squeezing me tightly. I shook my head "absolutely not, i'm going with you. it's my brother." i said- looking up into eddie's eyes. His eyes where slightly watering. He didn't even argue with me. He just nodded and let go of me, grabbing a chair that was nearby. He set it under the portal. "alright darling, i'm gonna drop to the other side,. and when i'm ready- i'll call for you and you'll do the same. but i'll catch you." he said. I nodded and stepped back. Giving him room to jump into the chair. I watched as he ran and jumped onto the chair- going into the portal. I heard him scream loudly. "Eddie?! are you okay?!" I yelled. "IM FINE DARLING JUST PROBABLY BROKE MY ANKLE." He yelled back. I heard him get up and position himself. "ALRIGHT! COME ON" He screamed. I stepped back a few steps and ran towards the chair, Jumping on it and going straight through the portal.. again. Eddie caught me in his arms, then gently placed me down. "Let's go." He said. I nodded at him and we rushed out of the trailer. I stepped out first. "DUSTIN!! DUSTIN WHERE ARE YOU?" I yelled. Eddie began yelling his name as well. Eddie turned and headed behind his trailer. "Y/N!" he yelled. i turned and looked at him. He motioned for me to come over there. I ran over there and i noticed he was staring into the distance. I looked to where he was staring and saw the bats- swarming around dustin. I screamed at the top of my lungs and my tears came back into my eyes. I put my arm around eddie- since he most likely fractured his ankle.. and helped support him as we walked over quickly to where dustin was. Just as we got there- the bats fell quickly. I looked at Eddie confused, then looked back to where dustin was. He was on the ground- with blood pouring out of his stomach. I felt my heart sink and i helped eddie get over there with me. I dropped to my knees beside dustin, pulling him into my arms. "oh god dustin" i said in between gasps. Eddie dropped down beside me. "y/n it hurts so bad." he whimpered. Tears began rolling down my cheeks. " i know i know." i said- Eddie took dustin from my arms and tried to pick him up. Dustin winced in pain "stop stop i just.. need some time." Eddie nodded and placed dustin back on the ground. I ran my hand through dustin's hair and looked into his eyes. "look, your going to be okay. were going to get you to a hospital." i said, trying to reassure him. he nodded, then he began coughing. "your gonna have to tell you guy's kids all of the stories about what has happened over the past few years." dustin choked out. I shook my head "no no.. your gonna do that yourself." i said- now sobbing. "no y/n. say that your gonna tell them." he said. I put my hand over my face. "i'm... im gonna tell them." i said in between sobs. "good." dustin said, he looked at eddie. "and you, take care of my sister. i might've been her younger brother.. but i used to do it, now it's your job." dustin said softly, Eddie nodded "i promise i will, i always will." eddie said. I grabbed dustin's hand and squeezed it. "i love you y/n" dustin said- i saw a tear run down from his eye. "i love you too dustie." i choked out. then, dustin turned his head and slowly... died in my arms.

6 YEARS LATER...
EDDIE'S POV... (ps his name has been cleared by now)
i walked outside- with all of our luggage in my hands. I walked to the back of our car and popped the trunk, tossing it all in the back. I shut the trunk and leaned against the car, watching my son running around the yard- y/n behind him trying to catch him. "DUSTIN!! COME ON WE HAVE TO GET IN THE CARR!!" she yelled- finally catching him. I smiled as she walked over with him in her arms, bridal style. "about time" i said, laughing, she rolled her eyes and laughed aswell. she opened the backseat door and set our son down onto the seat, shutting the door behind him. She walked over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me in. I kissed her gently. "let's roll?" i asked her. "let's roll." she said. I walked her over to the passenger side and opened the door for her. She smiled and got inside. I shut the door behind her and walked over to my side, hopping in. "alright- now time for our longggg drive to Hawkins." i laughed, looking at Dustin. He rolled his eyes "i don't even understand why we're going here" dustin groaned. I looked at y/n. she turned and looked at dustin, "well a very long time ago... we lived in Hawkins." she said, smiling. She continued the story- explaining some of the events that had happened.. . Our son was only four- so she couldn't give most of the details- since she didn't want to scare him. She told him about all of the stories, how he got his name- my metal concert, everything.. I looked in the rear view mirror as Dustin eye's widened.
