Okay! Okay! So Freak OUT! Of course my mother designed this Tesla forsaken prison, and of course her pride on the line would put myself against her!

AAAAAAH

Nope, Nope, Nope! Not going to panic, no panic. Cool as a robot. That's what she thinks I am right? A robot or a cyborg!

Still panicking ?

The introductions went about as well as I could expect, under the circumstances. The Audit, my mother did not see the Apparition, and as she doesn't show up in camera's they had no reason to know Vera had snuck her in. Literally by hiding under Raven's weird dimensional cape doodad. After mading it clear that we will be arrested, tried and sent to juvenile prison if we succeed at the prison break of the century, we made a snazzy exit with the goth duo getting out the less mobile. I of course blinked my way out (back at the car) we waited for the cue.

Vera Emerged, held in place by energy fields and, the instant she was released ran to me with her eye wide. Yep, App had left her, taken some guard as her possession and unfortunately abandoned her to the guards. I cupped her in my hands and comforted the little orb the best I could.

"I have no idea how I got you to be so affectionate." I told her sadly, "Bootstrap has the emotional range of a teaspoon, but you care about stuff so deeply!" I sighed.

Mother like daughter. At least where myself and my orb were concerned.

"So for real  then? The break-in has already begun?" Briar and Quinn asked in unison, still looking around themselves at the sudden scene change.

"Yep!" Lucy tapped the car, "First, we scoot and look at Bad P's scans. At the appointed time, Apparition will cause a power fault that will create a hole in the security system.

"Not Here!" I took over, purposely putting on an evil smiley for the sake for the sake of the audience, "First we get a good fifty miles away!" I led the march as four-kids, an arch-villainess and a kid villain filled every available seat of Lucyfar's car.

"You're not going to take that grasshopper?" Lucyfar asked.

"Nope, it's part of the plan!"

Once we reached the target point, Lucy pulling in amongst the formation of rocks in the oddest corner of death valley, an unsettled ease dropped over the group. I noticed Raven and Crow perk up, like dogs hearing something we couldn't. Everyone noticed the weird feeling, even Lucy.

Even so, she continues her lesson from before, "Alright Kiddos. Your leader already knows this, but it's time for you four to get a crash course in villainy. Consider this your training camp!" Parked, trunk popped and kids unfolding.

Lucy brought out, weapons. Mad science weapons.

I took off my helmet while I sorted through them. On the knowledge that I'd be having to break into a prison, and with limited resources I'd done the best I could with the powers available to us in a last minute mad rush. I couldn't remember any details about any of the tools currently in the back of Lucy's car, outside of vague "Does xyz". I would have to hope the recording device back at my lab would make these repeatable.

I started, "There are three rules to remember when planning a robbery.
1: Expect to fail.
2: Expect to be shot at by any number of weird mad science or conventional weapons
3: Expect to get lost.
If Lucy and I are right with our plan, we've dealt with the last two. We might still fail."

"Way to be a downer P! But the kid is right. That's why, even when you have no idea what you're up against the best plans involve the three D's:
Direction: Always have your targets clearly mapped out first, hit hard, grab fast and leave.
Distraction: use whatever means to keep any first responders,"

"Usually police!" I interrupted, "Here it will be the guards, or prisoners who might be looking for a reduced sentence!"

"Yes! Keep them busy. We're going to split up the teams, we have two black magic people and two plant power. Raven will go with Quinn, Briar with Crow. Draw the attention away from Vera, Penny and Apparition, who handle the direction part of the plan. As we get targets back to the extraction point Crow or Raven can get them out!"

"And what will you be doing?" Crow interrupted, only slightly breaking the flow as I tried to remember which devices I made for which of my cohorts.

Lucyfar smiled with the most sadistic of grin, "Oh, I'll be handling Disorientation!"

The location in death valley I had chosen was researched. But not for this purpose. It was looked after, normally by a tribe of native American's who owned the land. Some months ago I had purchased a controlling share in the land, via E-Claire who handled that kind of stuff well.

In the last few months, no. More recent than that in the last few weeks something had been poking me, and if the research was correct.

"What'll be the extraction point?" Briar asked, a fair enough question.

"This will be!" I pulled a coin from a pocket in my costume.  I kept forgetting these were here. It was a Penny. A cent coin in the local currency. I shook my head, concentrate. "This site, used to be sacred, one of several in the world that act as dimensional gates. In a few moment, we're going to transfer into the centre of the prison. All I need to do is concentrate." One at a time, in a specific order I touched each of the rocks with the Penny. That sub-surface hum that everyone had been hearing changed, becoming louder and picking up a tune.

"What are you using to do that?" I found myself being flanked by Raven, who walked beside me as my vision went a hazy red. "Cause I don't think it's something you should trust!"

"Penny hunny?" I looked around, everyone was staring at me. Especially Lucyfar, who spoke up more vehemently. "E-Claire would be angry if I didn't say this. You're crying blood. Whatever you're holding right now I want you to give it to me."
