Eddie's fingers continue wiping the remains of my tears away from my face until I've calmed down, and he slowly leans away from my forehead.
"I know you're scared y/n...we all are. But we have to try not to live in the future...and enjoy the time we have now, especially in these times" he advises, grabbing both of my hands now and caressing the tops of them with his thumbs.
"I know I know" I mumble, smiling apologetically up at him. "I just tend to-"
"Overthink things. I know. I've met you" he chuckles softly. "But promise me ok? Promise me you'll try not to worry too much. We're in this together. Me, you, Steve, Nancy, Robin, and the children. We'll figure this out" he assures me. "We always do."
"Thank you Ed" I smile softly at him, kissing his nose quickly making him shake his head smiling.

"I know just what will cheer you up" he smirks slightly, still holding both my hands and gently pulling me off the bed. Too tired to fight it, I go along with him, as he leads me into the kitchen. He lets go of my hands and turns on his radio. With a click of the button, the familiar sound of Guns and Roses fills my ears, as it echoes around the trailer.

"She's got a smile that it seems to me reminds me of childhood memories, where everything was as fresh as the bright blue skyy"

Eddie sings off-key as I roll my eyes. I can't help but smile though.

"Now and then when I see her face, she takes me away to that special place, and if I stare too long, I'd probably break down and cryy."

He serenades me, stepping so close to me that our noses almost touch and twirls a strand of my hair around his finger, his eyes never leaving mine. He really takes my breath away. He smirks, taking a step back as he knows exactly what he does to me.

"Woah, oh oh sweet child of mineee"

He continues singing his heart out as the chorus hits,  now using a wooden spoon laying on the table as a microphone, his grin widening as he sees me giggle.

"Woah, oh oh sweet love of mine"

He sings as his voice lowers, throwing the wooden spoon behind him which hits something with a loud bang, and clasps my hands in his again, his eyes roaming my face. He moves our hands back and forth, trying to make me dance.
"Ed-" I try to argue, before he cuts me off.
"C'mon babyyy" he pleads, widening his eyes and pouting at me, continuing to tug my hands. "Dance with me" he almost whispers.
"You're lucky I love you Munson" I mumble under my breath as I give in to him and start to feel the music. This makes him smile wider as he spins me around, making me gasp, and then break out into a smile.

"Woah, oh oh sweet child of minee"

He yells, as the chorus rolls around again.

"Woah, oh oh sweet love of mine"

I join him, as we continue dancing along the hardwood floor of his trailer, both of us smiling widely now.
We continue like this throughout the song, until the guitar solo begins. At this point he lets go of me, and slides along the floor on his knees playing air guitar. His hair goes wild as he rocks his head to the music, picking the strings of his imaginary instrument as if his life depended on it. The minute the solo is over though, he jumps back up and grabs my hands again, singing and dancing along with me.
A few minutes later the song finishes, as he twirls me around three times making my head spin. Finally, he pulls me in and dips me as low as he can go, my hair flowing behind me and out of breath. His face is millimetres from mine now, with his eyes on mine and his hair dangling in his face, before he blows it to the side.
We stay like that for a few seconds, just staring at each other as we catch our breath.

"You're beautiful you know that m'lady" he compliments, making me blush as he pulls me back up.
"And you" I puff, "are an awful singer" I giggle.
He gasps, jumping back and slapping his hand on his heart.
"But you make up for it with your epic air guitar playing" I continue.
"That's what I like to hear" Eddie smirks as he steps towards me again, sliding his hands on my waist as he pulls me into a kiss. I drape my arms around his shoulders, feeling my worries melt away in the kiss.
Too soon he pulls away, still smiling. I smile back at him, before stifling a yawn.
"C'mon" he says, gently placing his hand in mine and guiding me back into the bedroom.
"Feel better, sweetheart?" He asks, brushing the fingers of his free hand through my hair gently.
"Thank you Ed" I thank him softly, wrapping him in a hug again.
"Always, y/n" he whispers into my neck.
