Dream #10
I was startled out of sleep. But because it was still so dark in my room, I'm not sure if my eyes are open yet. I always turn off all the lights and draw the curtains before going to bed.
Since I was a young child, I have always had that habit. My sleep can be disturbed by even the smallest amount of noise or light.
My hands trembled as they touched my phone on the nightstand because of how cold it was. It's just three in the morning, I saw as I looked at the time.
As I previously mentioned, I awaken at the smallest sound or flicker of light, so...
When I heard a noise coming from my window, I abruptly got up. When the noise persisted, I moved to the opposite side of the room, far from my window.
I pulled out my phone, thinking it might be a ghost, a thief, or anything else, and tremblingly tried dialing my mother's number. I almost requested that she pick it up from every God there is. Because my window is so close to my entrance, I am unable to go outside.
Just as I was ready to call my mother, something appeared on my screen.
Kaiden!
Oh, my! He and I haven't spoken in days.
Kaiden was the one who called. I picked up the phone without hesitation.
I'm not sure if it was a coincidence that he called, but I absolutely need his assistance right now, "Kaiden!"
I could hear him gasping as he whispered, "Kei... Look outside your window now."
"Are you alright?" panic rushed to me. I started worrying and overthinking so much that I even lost track of where I was.
"Yes, I'm alright. Would you please look outside your window? There are lots of ants here."
I clarified, "You're outside my window." I was frightened by the sounds, and it was coming from him.
"Yes, Kei."
I hastily made my way to my window. Without thinking twice, I rolled back my heavy drapes and opened the door. Kaiden welcomed me and was already perspiring heavily.
He responded, "Thank you," as I assisted him in entering through my large window.
I remained silent. I was only watching what he was doing.
He is dressed in black slacks and a fitting gray shirt. Goddamn, he was hot. However, I have never before noticed him wearing attire like this. Since we always meet after our respective classes, I frequently observe him dressed in engineering-related attire.
He typically dresses in a long-sleeved shirt, a black tie, and black pants.
"What are you doing here?" I asked after he finished drinking the water I gave him.
"Visiting you," he said while still catching his breath.
I asked, sounding suspicious, "Why are you panting? Are you rushing from something or someone?"
He laughed and managed to take my hand in his. In an effort to control his breathing, he placed it in his chest.
I heard him hesitating a little before saying, "I'm sorry for not showing up in a few days. I was just busy."
But all I did was sigh and nod slightly. I can relate to him. I am unable to control his time. He is busy. Despite the fact that I am also very busy with my own life, I still worry about him.
When I saw that my hand was getting warm, I jerked it a little. I realized he is hot at that point. Yes, he is quite hot, but it feels like a fever!
I reached for his neck and said, "You're hot!"
With a shaky smile, he managed to add, "I know right!
I then understood that he is seriously ill. He was perspiring and panting because of this.
When he abruptly grabbed my arms, I was just about to ask him properly. He had a firm hold on me and it wasn't just a hold, I could tell he wasn't feeling well.
"Can I just..." He stopped talking and looked at me in the eyes.
He didn't stop staring at me, and we shared a few seconds of eye contact until he passed out.
I was so shocked that I almost screamed. I was at a loss for what to do. However, I halted, mentally screamed, and questioned my actions.
Oh my God! What the fuck do I need to do! I couldn't stop pacing around my room.
Kaiden is lying on the ground. Before he could touch the ground, I was able to give him a hug, but I left him on my carpeted floor after that.
He was excessively hefty and large! He won't come to my bed. I don't have someone to ask for help, and I can't ask for help at this time. Definitely not my mom who's in the next room.
My knees began to hurt, so I sat in my comfortable bed. I made the decision to act in the same way my mother does when I am ill as I was staring at Kaiden, who was still profusely sweating.
I sided with Kaiden and wanted to kiss him, but I restrained myself.
I slowly took his shirt off. It was difficult because I had to slightly lift several of his body parts. When I finally got it on his head, I took it off, and oh, was it wet!
I placed it on the top of the laundry basket from my bathroom and I grabbed a basin and a tiny face cloth.
I don't have any hot water in my room so I have to sneak out from my room. Hopefully, I don't make any noise that would wake my mother up.
I take little steps, I was tiptoing and feeling the atmosphere. It was a bit dark outside my room, and quiet that I'm too nervous.
But I need to so it for Kaiden! He's sick and he needs me!
I was about to step outside when I remember that my phone has a flashlight with it!
So I went back and looked for my phone. It was in the floor. I took it and looked at Kaiden again for the last time before I finally exited the room.
I turned on my flashlight and gave out gentle steps. I was near the kitchen when someone clear their throat.
I flinched and backed out a bit which caused me to stumble and fell on my butt.
"I'm sorry!" The person came to me and I almost blurt out million of prayer when it was my mom!
I'm screwed!
