As they were all eating, Chitra signalled something towards Paratai using her eyes, Paratai understood the que and went downstairs silently. He came back with a cake in his hand and candles on top of them. Aishu clapped her hands in excitement and Shiva was confused. Everyone was smiling at Shiva including Sahana. Aishu got on Shiva's lap, kissed him on the cheeks and said "Thanthayar Thinam Valthukal Appa." A small pool of tears was forming around Shiva's eyes. It was an emotional moment for Shiva, his first father's day celebration. "Enna da ithulam? Eppa ithulam vanguna ennaku theriyama?" Shiva asked Paratai, before he could reply, Chitra laughed and said, "Aishu Father's day kondadanum nu aasai pattah, ithu ellam Anni oda plan tha, aana onnumay pannathathu mathri ukanthu kittu irukanga paaru." Shiva eyed Sahana who was sitting beside him, and Sahana immediately avoided his eyes for obvious reasons. Shiva cut the cake, and fed Aishu.
"Appa ennaku mattum kudukuringa, Amma kum kudunga pa." Aishu held Shiva's hand and directed it towards Sahana's mouth. Sahana ate the cake that was fed by Shiva and smiled awkwardly at everyone.
After the cake cutting session, Chitra asked Sahana "Anni intha celebration athuvuma naan unga kitta oru kelvi kaykalama?" Sahana raised her eyebrows in confusion
"Kaylu Chitra."
"Shiva Anna, oru appa va irunthu naanga kan ethira parthutom, nenga conceive ah irukum pothu ungala anna eppudi pathukittanga nu konjam solunga anni ?Theyrinjikalam nu aasai ah iruku" Shiva who was eating the cake almost choked at Chitra's question. Shiva stopped Chitra, because he knew this question might hurt Sahana. "Chitra ipa ethuku theva illatha kelvi kaykura, athulam onnum theyrinjika veyndam."
Sahana smiled lightly and said, "Naan soldren Chitra, unga anna mathri ennaya yarumai pathuka mudiyathu, surukama sollanum nah ennaya poo mathri alungama kasungama pathukittanga." Shiva has had enough because he was starting to feel guilty for not being there with Sahana during her baby delivery. He was not able to be there for her when she needed him the most, because of that one impulsive mistake that he made.
"Seri seri pothum, time achu ellarum poi padunga." Chitra frowned at Shiva and went downstairs, followed by Karthik and Paratai.
Sahana carried Aishu and went downstairs, Shiva needed some time alone at the balcony. As he saw Sahana going down, he thought to himself 'Chitra tha etho kaykura na, ne ennai vittu kudukama pesuriya Raangi. Aanalum naan un kuda prasavam nerathil illa nu, manasu alavula nee evlo kastam pattrupa nu ennaku theriyum Sahana. Ipa varikum antha oru vishayam en manasa uruthuthu. Ennaya manichidu Sahana.'

Aishu was already asleep and Shiva was still on the balcony. Sahana got a call from her mother and she explained that she was in Shiva's house. She told her everything that Elango did. Both her parents were very mad and disappointed with Elango's actions. Sahana's father grabbed the phone from Devaki's hand and said, "Ne kavala padatha ma, naan vanthu avan kitta enna nu kaykuran."
Sahana didn't want to start a new problem.
"Illa vendam pa, ennala Elango kum ungalakum theva illatha prechana ethuku? Naan soldra padi kelunga, intha prechanai ah naan pathukuren appa."
Even though Sahana's parents didn't agree wholeheartedly they didn't have any other choice.

"Aana Kumbakonam ku porathuku munnadi, unnai um Aishu va yum pathutu porom. Innum rendu naal la naanga mappilai veetuku varom"
"Seri pa, vaanga, naan vechiduren."
