"He has arrived..." the man whispered, sensing the presence of another Alpha approaching.
"My king," Mr. Jeon began, "I know you understand what's best for him, and you'll tell him the truth. But, pardon me, my lord, I suggest giving him some time. I fear he'll react differently—"
"I understand your concerns, Mr. Jeon," the king interrupted, his voice calm and reassuring. "After all, you and your wife have raised him, protected him from harm until now. Your love and care are admirable. I'm truly grateful for all you've done for me, for us, and for the future of this world. You should be proud of that, my friend. And don't worry, I know my blood."
The king's gaze shifted, his eyes fixed on the approaching figure, his ears attuned to the footsteps drawing closer.
Twenty-six years – a seemingly endless expanse of time. A father's heartbreaking absence from his son's life, forced to miss every milestone, every laughter-filled moment.
For a mother, these years represented a painful void, devoid of witnessing her child's growth, his tiny triumphs, and unwavering joy. In times of sorrow, she longed to envelop him in warmth, to offer comfort and unconditional love, but fate denied her that solace.
In moments of despair, she wondered if she was cursed, destined to endure unbearable sorrow. But then she gazed at her husband, seeing the same anguish reflected in his eyes, and her perspective shifted.
As she considered the immense responsibility their son shouldered, pride swelled within her. She was the mother of a remarkable individual, the future leader of their mighty nation. And she was the queen, a symbol of strength and resilience.
Her heart ached with longing, yearning to hold her son close, to behold the man he had become. Would he stand tall, like his father? she mused, a tender smile on her lips.
The door swung open, and he stepped into the room. His eyes gradually shifted toward her, and the Queen's heart skipped a beat. She had waited an eternity for this moment, to catch a glimpse of her son.
Time seemed to stand still as she drank in the sight of him, now a grown man. When had she and her husband last laid eyes on him? The memories blurred together, but the ache in her heart remained. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, witnessing the passage of time etched on his face.
She yearned to hear his voice, to have him call her "Mother" once more. But instead, his gaze bypassed her and settled on the King.

As Arthur approached the door, he sensed the presence of a superior werewolf. Upon opening it, he was met with a surprising sight: his family, accompanied by the esteemed King and Queen themselves.
His eyes instinctively gravitated toward the Queen, then shifted to the King, his gaze filled with reverence. With a fluid motion, he bowed his head, acknowledging the higher powers before him.
Well-versed in the hierarchical structure of shapeshifters, Arthur recognized the werewolves' paramount position. Among the diverse kingdoms, theirs reigned supreme, commanding respect and awe.
For centuries, the kingdom had reigned supreme, their dominance unchallenged to this day.
"Arthur," Mr. Jeon called out, his voice warm with emotion.
