Anaya's pov:-

"Anaya, are you sure you would be okay?" my overprotective mother asked me for the ninth time, her voice laced with worry.

I don't know why she's always so scared about me going anywhere alone. Her constant concern was starting to suffocate me.

I hesitated, hiding my inner turmoil. I had life-changing news to share – a scholarship to one of the best art universities, far away from here. But I feared her reaction.

"I'll be fine, Ma," I reassured her, forcing a calm tone.

But my mind raced. Will she agree? Will she understand this opportunity's significance?
I'm actually scared of her reaction.

"Ma, I'm sure, besides it's just the beach right behind our house, so don't worry," I assured her, gathering my colors and art supplies.

As I fixed my hair in the mirror, I decided to wear it down today – it complemented my outfit perfectly. My favorite knee-length white dress and flats made me feel carefree.

"Okay, sweetie," my mother relented, though uncertainty lingered in her voice. "But I'm still not convinced. That place is so secluded. Why not go to the other side of the beach instead?"

"No, Ma," I pleaded, my eyes locking onto hers. "That spot has the best sunset views, and it's quiet – no one will disturb me while I sketch. Please?"

I unleashed my most persuasive smile, accompanied by puppy dog eyes.

"THIS KID! Okay, fine," she said, rolling her eyes with a hint of amusement. "Just be back early. Don't spend the night there because the view was 'so good' – in your words."

I grinned, knowing my puppy eyes had sealed the deal. No one can resist them, I thought with a silent chuckle.

I smiled warmly at her, taking in her endearing expression.

"She's so cute," I thought and after a quick hug, I bid her goodbye and stepped out of our house.

Today was truly unforgettable, and as the day waned, an inexplicable urge swept over me – to capture the sunset's beauty on paper. Nature's allure has always held me spellbound.

I find solace in its serenity, feeling most at peace when I'm immersed in its tranquility, doing nothing in particular but soaking it all in. Our orphanage's beachside location is a blessing, offering breathtaking views just a 15-minute stroll away.

This secluded haven is my sanctuary. I've never encountered anyone else here, perhaps due to its distance from the bustling areas. Some might find it eerie, but for me, it's a refuge from life's chaos.

Whenever stress threatens to overwhelm me, I flee to this tranquil escape. Its isolation is a balm to my soul, and I cherish it all the more for that.

As the sky begins to hue with sunset's warm tones, I realize it's time to leave. I must hurry or risk missing the moment.

★Author's pov:-

Anaya sat in the warm, soft sand, captivated by the breathtaking scenery before her. With deft strokes, she transferred the beauty onto canvas, vibrant colors dancing across the page. The gentle sun cast a warm glow, illuminating the sky's kaleidoscope of hues.

As the day drew to a close, small waves lapped at the shore, and birds winged their way back to their nests. Anaya finished her painting, yet couldn't tear herself away. She took a leisurely stroll along the beach, drinking in its serenity.
