Under Your Wing

Chapter 5

Tomura, Toga, and Twice sat around a table at their hideout playing cards and drinking coffee or tea. They were all waiting, expecting, Dabi to arrive.

"So why are you jealous if Dabi and that hero kissed in front of you, anyway?" Twice asked, starting the conversation.

"I'm not jealous!" Tomura exclaimed, setting down a card.

"Then why did we all just get back from trying to kill Hawks?" Toga pushed on.

Tomura sighed and looked at the two, annoyed.

"Okay, fine, I like Dabi, just a little, now can we please move on from this subject?" He admitted.

Toga and Twice smirked at each other.

"So, he admits it" Twice giggled.

Tomura rolled his eyes and continued on with the card game.

Just then, Dabi came busting in through the door, as everyone watched and looked at him, as he had their attention.

"What the hell guys?!" He shouted.

They then looked at him confused.

"Hm? What's wrong?" Tomura questioned.

"Trying to kill my boyfriend?! You know, I'm so sick and tired of this team!" He continued, shaking his head. "I quit" he said, then turned back around and left.

For good.

The three looked at each other. "Well, good luck getting him back" Twice commented.

"Shut up!" Tomura growled, getting up and walking away angrily.

Tokoyami nervously made his way to Hawks's hospital room, as he was told everything what happened.

When he got there he noticed a villain and a few of his classmates sitting outside the room, along with the big three students. Mirio, Tamaki, Nejire, Izuku, Ochako, Kirishima, and pro heroes Endeavor and Eraserhead, also known as Aizawa, who brought Shinso and Eri with him.

Tokoyami gulped before going any further.

"Why is there a villain here? And is it that bad that all of you needed to come?" He nervously asked.

"We were all told the same thing as you, and were all a bit worried, is why I decided to come, and Dabi here is changing his ways with the whole villain thing but he can get to that later with you, he's Hawk's boyfriend" Shinso explained, calmly.

Tokoyami nodded in understanding. He then entered the room. Inside was Miruko and All Might, also known as Toshinori.

The two waved at him as he entered. Tokoyami waved back and took a seat on the other side of the bed from them, and looked down at the beaten and unconscious hero.

"Hawks told me quite a bit about you! Tokoyami, right? It's great to finally really meet you! You might know me as Miruko, I'm great friends with Keigo" Miruko began.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am. Hawks is my idol, I wanna be just like him one day, it worried me a lot to know he was here" Tokoyami said, sadly looking back at Hawks's face. He then grabbed his hand and held it in his own.

"He'll be okay, I'm sure, he made it this far, and he's pretty strong, he'll make a full recovery. Although, he'll have to keep off of his wings for a while, they were beat pretty badly especially after hitting those rocks and the chains breaking them" All Might assured.

"When is he supposed to wake up?" Tokoyami asked, as tears watered in his eyes.

"We're not sure, but it shouldn't be too long" Miruko said smiling at him.

Tokoyami smiled back, nodding.

As time went by, hour by hour, day by day, Tokoyami spent all of it by Keigo's side, barely leaving for any second, as others came in and out, checking, including Dabi, who'd sometimes stay nights with Tokoyami, as he never wanted to leave Keigo's side either.

Dabi constantly blamed himself, but he had grown heroes trust, so some of the students would comfort him and tell him none of it was his fault, maybe carry on conversations with him. Shoto and Endeavor learning he was Touya, even.

But he still couldn't help but constantly check to see if the next day that came his love would finally wake up.

So, both Tokoyami and Dabi stayed the most they could and hoped the hero wouldn't stay asleep another day.

But the days just got longer and longer and every second slowed down and days quickly turned into weeks.

Almost as if this pro hero was deep in sleep, perhaps locked in his mind, maybe trapped or lost, with no guide out.
