10: The mystery deepens

Jungkook was awakened by some noises outside his room. His body ached and a sharp pain shoot up in his back when he tried to sit up straight. It was due to the lack of sleep last night and he felt his eyes getting heavier by second and felt like going back to sleep but he fought the urge to fall in a deep slumber by lightly patting his cheeks and tried to remain awake.

He could hear the sound of rapid footsteps from the other side of the door, in the corridor and a music playing in the background. Jungkook now wanted to know what the havoc was all about early in the morning.

He jumped off the bed in an instant and ran out the door, sprinting in the corridor, ignoring the pain that shoot up his back at his sudden rapid movement. He stood behind a pillar on the first floor and watched the nuns in the hall on the ground floor trying to switch off the a really old looking radio which was playing. A sister pulled out the switch of the radio from the socket, but the song still kept on playing. And it was very strange.

'Dominique, nique, nique,
Over the land he plots along
And sings a little song
Never asking for reward

He just talks about the Lord.'

The radio went off for a second or two then again started playing and the volume slowly started increasing which made everyone in the hall shut their hear in order to not to go deaf. This time the voice of the singer suddenly turned creepy. Voice getting hoarse, as if the singer was purposely yelling out the lyrics instead of singing them.

'At the time when Johnny Lackland
Over England was the king
Dominique was in the backland fighting sin like anything.
Dominique, nique, nique,
Over the land he plots along
And sings a little song-'

Everyone was so into shutting their ears to even take the notice that Mother superior had entered the hall and advanced towards the radio with an axe in her hand. Mother superior raised the axe up in the air and smashed it on the radio, breaking it into pieces at once and the room fell pin drop silent. Everyone stared at Mother superior standing there with an axe and taking in deep breaths.

"Mother Rosa-"

"Who turned the radio on without my permission?" Mother superior asked with a threatening voice which made every nun and sisters in the hall present there, silent. Including Jungkook as well.

"I asked who did it?"

"We- we don't know mother Rosa. We were j-just getting ready and cleaning everything around when suddenly it started playing."

Jungkook took a deep breath before opening his mouth to get the mother superior's or Rosa's attention which caused him to gain everyone's attention on him. "Mother superior?"

He stood there awkwardly as the sisters just kept staring at the male on the first floor who was out of all the places, in a convent.

The mentioned lady looked at the male standing in the corner of the hall awkwardly. "W-what if it's him?" Jungkook asked.

Mother Rosa sighed before nodding. Taking into consideration that Jungkook might be right since it's the first time something like this has happened in there. Not to forget that Jungkook had mentioned last night that Taehyung might be possessed. Anything can happen when there is a possessed person around you.

"Everyone dismiss except Kezia. Sister Margaret, Chaewon, Marie and Rebecca." Rosa states demandingly. Everyone dismissed as soon as possible except the sisters, the head of the nuns mentioned.

Mother Rosa started walking upstairs and Jungkook immediately followed behind her. Other five sisters quietly walking behind them through the large corridors towards the infirmary.
