❐chapter:: 15

Long boring chapter ahead. But also important.

Taehyung and Jungkook's next morning was a stark contrast to the chaotic night before. The sun shone through the window, casting a warm glow on the couple's faces as they slept peacefully. Taehyung's skin was still slightly pale, but he had color returning to his cheeks, and his breathing was calm and even.

Jungkook lay with his arm draped over Taehyung's waist, holding him close as he watched him sleep. He couldn't believe how close he had come to losing Taehyung to the demon, and he felt a renewed appreciation for every moment they had together.

His heart broke into pieces when he had seen his fragile husband doing such bizarre things. It terrified him to the core.

As Taehyung stirred awake, he felt Jungkook's arm around him and smiled contentedly. They lay tangled in each other's embrace, their limbs intertwined like vines on a trellis. Taehyung's eyes were still closed, but a soft smile graced his lips as he basked in the warmth of his husband's touch.

"Good morning, my prince," Jungkook whispered, his lips brushing against Taehyung's temple.

Taehyung opened his eyes, he turned over to face Jungkook and reached up to stroke his hair, his gaze meeting Jungkook's. "Good morning, my love," he replied, his voice still husky from sleep.

Jungkook grinned, leaning in to press a chaste kiss to Taehyung's lips. "How do you feel?" he asked, his concern evident in his voice.

Taehyung sighed contentedly, his hand running through Jungkook's hair. "I feel...lighter," he said, a sigh escaping his lips. "Like something has been lifted off of me."

Jungkook smiled, relief flooding through him. He had been worried sick about Taehyung, watching helplessly as his husband had struggled with the dark energy that had possessed him. But now, seeing him like this - peaceful and serene - he felt a weight lift off his own shoulders.

"I'm so glad," Jungkook said, nuzzling his face into Taehyung's neck. "I was so scared, Tae. I don't know what I would do if I lost you."

Taehyung's heart swelled with love for his husband. "You'll never lose me, Jungkook. I'm yours, now and forever."

Jungkook pressed a soft kiss to Taehyung's neck, his fingers tracing lazy circles on his husband's torso. "I love you so much," he murmured, his breath hot against Taehyung's skin.

"I love you more," Taehyung replied, his fingers threading through Jungkook's hair. "Remember, I fell for you first?" He asked.

"Forgot that I fell for you harder?" Jungkook asked back.

Taehyung's lips twitch into a pretty smile before laughing out loud, now lying on top of Jungkook's chest. The younger one sat up straight with Taehyung on his lap, his hands holding Taehyung's hips, eyes staring into those pretty eyes which weren't demonic anymore.

"I'm so hungry, Jungkook." Taehyung says, bringing the younger one back to reality who seems lost staring at him.

"I know you'll be hungry, you didn't eat anything for the last two days."

"Eww, we smell so bad Jungkook!" Taehyung complains, scrunching up his nose in disgust. The smell of urine and vomit was mixed in the air, lingering around them. Jungkook smiles, caressing the elder's cheeks, "we haven't had a bath for two days now."

"What do you mean by we?"

"You and me."

Taehyung's eyes widened in surprise, "why didn't you have a bath? It just takes around like 10 minutes or something."
