-Five months later-
Miku POV
"Did you get the onions? We should be heading back by now" Luka asks me and I show her my basket where I'd kept the onions. She nods. As we start making our way back to the house.
By the time we get there, Kaito and Meiko were already in the kitchen, getting lunch ready. The kitchen was actually very messy, but not as much as it usually is when they cooked. They fought all the time.
Neru was as usual in the garden, staring off into space getting lost in her own thoughts. She's been like that for the past five months.
Five months...
I still couldn't beleive how fast time had went by.
It's been Five months since we lost our home. Our families. Everything we cared about.
It was starting to become an old memory. But the wounds and scars from those memories were still fresh.
Kaito had taken us to an old farm house that belonged to his family at one village far away.
Saying this was a place he and his family visited for vacations when he was young.
The place was nice. Quiet and peaceful. Most importantly, far away from our village. We'd changed our names of course for obvious reasons.
I went by Una now.
Luka now went by Akina.
Meiko went by Kya.
Neru went by Sakura.
And last and definitely the least. I know what I said, is Kaito who now goes by Akaito.
No amount of facepalms could make up for such a name choice.
That aside, we called each other by our fake names out side the house, but with our real names once we are inside. It felt weird that I sometimes get confused when they call me by my fake name.
